I love my Sun Sniper strap (with Rotaball) that slings the camera diagonally and just allows the camera to slide up the strap when needed without the strap having to move. It also has elastic shock absorber sections and a steel core to prevent it being cut by a thief.
I always have it connected to the camera triod mount - I know that people say the weight of the lens hanging from the camera mount is an issue, but the weight of the lens is barely different from the weight of the K1 body, so the stress on the mount is the same either way and ergonomics becomes the deciding factor.

Hi JBondo,
You might like to consider running the scheme through GroupGets, where people can commit to ordering one or more items, and you are not committed to a production run until you have a minimum number of orders. You can also specify a maximum. It is rather like KickStarter, but is intended for products which already exist and are proven rathere than for product development. It allows you to go into a decent sized production run, minimizing costs, without having to risk a sizable speculative investment.

Hi, glad to hear you are getting better. I just had a look at the PDF's of your tube with the baffle and it occurs to me that there probably ought to be some overlap between the wider thin-walled (0.65mm) tube portion and the narrower thicker walled (1mm) section. At the moment there is nothing to connect one with the other and they will presumably just fall apart. I guess that the thicker walled section should extend further down inside the wider part to provide connectivity?
Good work anyway

Hi
Figshare is also a very good medium - you can make a file, or set of files publicly available (no storage limit at all for public access files) and get a URL that anyone can follow to download them.

If only resolution was entirely defined by the number of pixels - even assuming that the lens resolution exceeds that of the sensor. Small pixels also bleed into adjacent pixels so that actual resolution is reduced and the K3 sensor has a smaller centre-centre distance for its pixels than the K-1. This is also why istD 6MP cameras still produce exceptional results with there big pixels and low pixel bleed. I won't debate which is better, but you do need to consider actual measured resolution not just counting pixels. And that leads to the question of what lens you are using because unless you hare investing in DA*/FA* lenses that may well be the limiting factor - after all lens resolution comparison tests are done using a 12 or 16MP camera so that obviously isn't the limiting factor.

I use a crumple strap which is very comfortable. I do attach one end to a tripod attachment plate because tha camera hangs at a much more comfortable angle that way. My biggest complaint against the adapter is that the new tripod attachment is too shallow and some tripod screws will not go fully home, resulting in a loose fit.
