Mostly new. I had a Hassleblad (well, still do) that i played with 13 years ago. I dont remember what I did with white balance. A lot easier with digital and raw files :)

I have an old minolta spot meter but it doesn't do incident readings. i am waiting on another payment then looking to buy a sekonic l-358.
I will definitely look at a grey card. How does this camera adjust for white balance?
Also - I was kinda thrown by the appearance of a battery. Whats battery life like?
Am pretty stoked. I am taking a model out Wednesday for some portraits at a state park.

It begins! arrived in the mail today! taking it out for a portrait test run this weekend. Don't have a light meter yet so I will probably still take along my digital camera for readings....

thanks Yurihuta. I don't order from ebay much. I prefer visiting my local shop for hands on stuff....and ordering internationally was a bit scary. But so far the seller has been super courteous and shipped it out quickly. Looking forward to getting it. Only one week!

Anyone have a recommendation on a good light meter that wont break the bank? I shoot mainly portraits and weddings. Just bought my first Pentax medium format.

Well, I did it. Pentax 67 with SMC 105 2.4.
Shipping from Japan which makes me a little nervous.

Thx Adam. Just doing all the research and checking before I purchase. I am mostly a portrait and wedding photographer and want to dive into Pentax a little. I have a Hasselblad I fool around with but I have seen some portraits taken with the 67 that have blown my Hassy images out of the water. LOL.
Found a couple in the $500.00 range. More than I wanted to spend but its cheaper than a Contax right now :)

Ok, forgive some of my questions. If this were Canon, I wouldn't be asking, but Pentax is new for me.
As I was looking for a Pentax 67 to purchase I would come across cameras that came with a 105 2.4 takumar lens and some with a 105 2.4 SMC lens. Is one considered inferior to the other?
The vast array of lenses is almost overwhelming. LOL

bleah, I lost the bid on the 6X7 lol. time to bid on another one.
Can I assume that all 67's have the MLU? its only the 6X7 I need to be aware of.....

What is the biggest difference between these two cameras? I was thinking about purchasing a 6X7. Would it be dumb to buy it over the 67? I cannot afford the 67II so thats not an option right now.
Is there a difference in image quality between the two?
