Lisbon urban train ride

A picture I took during my holiday in Portugal, Lisbon of an old-style urban train passing through the capital's narrow streets flanked by half-abandoned and graffiti-embellished buildings. Taken during the "golden hours" of just after 5pm on my way back from Estoril beach from my rented apartment window. The photo is post-processed in Darktable using the latest version 1.4.2 which supports parametric and masked color modifications.

Here is another of my K100D favourites taken with the 16-45mm f4.0 and touched up artistically in Darktable. It's great fun to dust off my old K100D RAW files with the latest PP software!

This thread still seems to be active... a great tribute to the 6MP CCD K100D. I recently bought the K-5 and am reasonably happy with it. But the unique picture rendering from the K100D's sensor is still special, which is why I often travel with both cameras. I agree with one forum contributor who asserts that the images from the K100D do not look digital, but much more film-like...

Thanks for all of the comments from you. Here are the results I obtained from putting to use my venerable K100D and my newly acquired 2nd-hand K-5. The pics from the K100D are straight from the in-camera JPEG engine with a bit of sharpening added afterwards, while the ones from the K-5 are post-processed to my personal taste(quite heavily, using imagick's convert command under Linux). I really think the K100D still kicks ass after so many years in service...

Enjoy and come to visit China some time!
