What are best, 67 or 645 lenses!
Looking to use on 5d3 with mirex tilt shift adaptor.
55mm 67 lens or 45 mm 645 similar to 28mm full frame.
Which is best?
Thank you! ---------- Post added 08-16-14 at 04:59 AM ---------- What's the 55like?

How did you find the 45mm please? This is the first lens I hope to acquire as it is 28mm in full frame, my usual focal length for landscapes.
Some reviews say it suffers softness at the edges on a MF camera, but that would probably not be a problem on the smaller 35mm sensors?
Many thanks!

Thanks for that really helpful answer!
I just wonder how you find image quality with these pre digital lenses please? Are the pictures sharp and is there any vignetting?
Also how do you manage with metering etc.....all this is new as I have used autofocus and in camera metering for too long!
I agree that four lenses plus adaptor for the price of one tilt shift is very attractive, especially as canon's 24mm tse is actually a bit wide, and the equivalents offered by the 45, 55, 75 and 80 are very attractive.
Many thanks!

It was the focal lengths which appealed. I could get for the price of one tse 24mm I could have equivalents to 28mm (my usual landscape length), 35mm and 50 mm

Hi has anyone had experience of using 645 lenses with the Mirex adapter particularly the tilt shift version?
I can't afford the 645D I had hoped for so I'm now planning to use my Eos with some of the 645 lenses.
If anyone has any experience of how these work and also do I need to an adapter for each lens I will be very grateful!

Hi does anyone know if you can get an adapter to use a canon lens (ie my excellent 70-300 zoom) on a 645d please? Just an idea :}

I'm very happy with the 5d, but as it is starting to misbehave it is time to consider if I want to go for medium format when I change it. I think using a MF will add discipline to my work and the colours the 645 seems to produce are very attractive.

Hi,
I am new to this site and would appreciate some advise about purchasing a 645d and suitable lenses for landscape shooting please.
I normally shoot mountain landscapes, mostly in Great Britain. I currently have a Canon 5dii which is on its last legs, and funds if I sell it and the lenses for a used 645d and some of the older lenses available on ebay.
I'd really appreciate users opinions on the best lenses.
I understand the old manual 645 lenses are very good, as are the 67 lenses too. The 67 lenses seem a little cheaper?
I wonder which ones members would recommend please?
I need (in 35 mm equivalent) the following:
Around 21-28 mm,
35 mm
50 mm
and one good zoom, ideally not a prime but something in the range of 70-300 mm if such a thing exists?
Any advise, particularly from people who might have made the shift from 35mm Canon to Full Frame, would be much appreciated,
many thanks!
