In November last year, I got the information from a Pentax embassador in Germany that the lens will be discontinued, because the producer of the lenses used in the D-FA 25mm f/4 has problems to deliver the right quality of a specific element. (too many lenses out of spec.). I should hurry if I want one.
I could not find any evidence for his statement and couldnīt afford to buy one at that time.
Now I finally decided to get it. Seems to be on the very last moment.
At least mine is razor sharp. I bit of CA in high contrast situation (tree shot against the sky), but this can be corrected in LR with one click.

Hi Rudolf,
I got the Camera from my local dealer in Darmstadt. So the Camera seem to be available
now.

Hi,
I got my 645Z last Friday, which is my first Pentax.
Iīm 55 years old and enjoy photo shooting since I became 15. Focus has always been landscape and animals to a certain extend.
Over the years, I could collect experience with Minolta, Leica, Mamiya, Rollei etc. Since I moved to digital, I mainly used Canon.
Coming now from Canon and being new in the Pentax world, I found it easy to use the camera. So far Iīm happy with the decision :):).
Letīs see what the 645 can do for me.
If there is anyone around who has doubts whether the money for this camera is well spend, donīt hesitate to contact me. I will try to be as objective as possible.:cool:
