I love the crop, makes the background very complimentary - IMO its the best part of the bokeh.

Union Station Chicago? I'm in Chi, maybe we can get together and take some shots?

great stuff - pics like these are not as easy as they appear *when they are dont right like this* :)

Gotta work with the situation, and it seems you got some really nice shots out of what are not ideal conditions. A handful of shots like this would be fine for an album I think, I imagine you have a greater variety of subjects? Either way, from what I see its just a few adjustments and the prints should look real nice.

I really like that first pic - the background/cat merge quite well, with some added interest from the right. I like this image, by far, the best of the ones posted in this thread.

I Love the dark face, really makes the picture interesting. The edits here that brighten the face totally ruin the image for me - making it much less emotional.

I wish to expand my creative possibilities - so that I may discover new possibilities of creating images that people may enjoy! I love natural lighting and beautiful bokeh! New to DSLR, I've seen the results others have gotten with this lens and I so dearly wish to explore the fast sharp world of the DA50! :)

Pic looks pretty cool to me, these things are always subjective.

I'd like to see the blue a bit more centered, possibly zoomed in a bit and panned to the left - so the illuminated pillars almost touch the left and right side. and the blue reflection/bridge almost touch the top/bottom.

Has an interesting overall effect to it as is - tripod/longer exposure would only help things :D

I'd get a tripod - go out and shoot the same subject around the same time... and compare :D

Yep bees love dandelions :D

Have you ever eaten them? The greens are available in some grocery stores - best eaten "young" before the flower pops up. A bitter green, for sure. That said I love the slight sweetness of the flowers and have even made tea from them in the past :)

Very windy for this shot - the movement of this patch of dandelions in a ditch was pretty incredible! I enjoy the interplay of sharp, not so sharp, and totally blurred yellow sprinkled among the frame
