Thanks... know that I have my M85, I'm selling it... really nice lens but I switched brand. Nothing against Pentax at all, all my friends have higher models of Nikon (I have a K100D Super and they have D80 and D300) so I went and switch to Nikon as well with a D90 since I wanted a more advance camera. Could have gotten the k7 or K5 but wanted to share lens en flash with my friends.
Good memories with Pentax and I will still recommend them! That K5 silver edition looks so great!

I have the sigma 17-70 and I love it, but my Pentax K100D Super is in AF, I cannot change the focus manually. Don't know if it's my camera or the lens. With that lens you can do close focus which is the reason I have it.
The Tamron 28-75 is great too for portraits but I don't have it, which I could have it!

thanks, looks like I could get a good stand $80, black and white backdrop for $40 each, so total of $160.
I like the idea of buying cheaper colored muslin or colored cloth, I'm going to go with that.

except I want it to be mine... plus my job isn't doing so good financially so I though I didn't want to bug them with that.
Someone told me that a whit and/or black backdrop just to the job fine, a color backdrop might be to hard to deal with with people having different color of outfit. What do you think?

I'm planning to get a stand so I should be good with that.
For the backdrop, they have those fold-able ones by 6x9 but looking at your comment, and I should go with something bigger. I could spend the money for a 10x10 but 10x20 are starting to get expensive for my budget.
Do you know of any good brand of muslin I should get or those to avoid?

Hi,
My job, during employee week, wants me to take pictures of the employee (and their families). I have a small but good light system (only using CFL) but I have no background, and the building does provide anything great.
Should I get a Muslin 10x20 than you can find an Amazon for around $60? Would a 10x10 or 10x12 be enough?
I'm not sure I'll need the full 10x20, I definitely need something wide and I think people will have to stand up (might need to plan something for kids).
The the type of posture, should I full portrait or just waist down?
I've looked at Adorama a bit and some look good.
Any idea would help, thanks!
