Thanks FozzFoster.
I like challenging the comment that people say that Pentax is not for action photography.

I got into Derby photography because of my daughter aka Frank The Tank, I have been given a derby name which is an honor in itself I am aka Papa Tank.
FB Kevin Sanders or Kevin Sanders Photography.
I highly recommend it for those who are up to the challenge. If you do go and want to shoot roller derby be on the look out for the very elusive apex jump.

Thanks for the suggestion Chetverovod. I guess I could have photoshopped out the flags, I just didn't want to crop to tight.

Hi SSGGeezer, I am old enough to have had the pleasure to watch bank track on TV but never had the opportunity to see it live. ---------- Post added 06-27-18 at 08:20 PM ----------
I was super stocked reviewing the photos from this game and seeing how this photo turned out. ---------- Post added 06-27-18 at 08:30 PM ----------
I have had the good fortune to shoot alongside and learn from some great derby photographers. The trick of capturing the images in focus requires, a good knowledge of the sport, centre single focus and constantly half pressing the shutter button until you are ready to pull the trigger all the way.
I also shoot with multiple stobes to light and freeze the action.

I shoot a lot of Roller Derby in Vancouver BC, here is a picture of two Jammers jostling for position as they are skating around the track.
Roller Derby is a fast pace sport that can be challenging to shoot given the lighting and venues we shoot in.

Enjoying a beautiful walk in Fort Langley BC.in February.
Almost looks like these two birds just finished having an argument and giving each other the cold shoulder, with the added touch of perching on the berry bush. This why I’m naming the photo “A prickly situation”.

Pentax has been so good to me.
I was a late bloomer starting out in digital with the Pentax K110D then the K7, Then K5 and now the K3.
Can't get enough of the feel size and features at a price point that I can afford.

What would be the cost in Canadian dollars for Pentax K-3 shipped to vancouver BC. Or if cheaper shipped to a PO box in Bellingham Washington. Thanks

Thanks Amoringello. I have the K5, Elinchrom 600RX and Cactus V5's. I shoot roller derby. Some of my fellow shooters shoot Canon and Nikon. I guess I'm stuck with the 180 sync speed. I just purchased the Elinchrom 600RX and before my next event I wanted to know how to get the most out of the flash.
I typically shoot with 540 and 360 wirelessly.

I'm wondering if the Using wireless triggers to trigger the shutter on a Pentax K5 and an Elinchrom 600rx will allow you to use a fast shutter speed above 200?
Has anyone tried this ?
Thanks
