Also remember like Seldon said on big bang N gauge 1/2 the size but twice the fun. I had a train set as a kid never thought about doing 1 but I do like to watch people make and modify the model railway plans on youtube

Hi all I pulled out my Metz 58 AF 2 back up flash , I havent used for about 12 months It turns on has splash screen Metz 58 af 2 v 5 then goes to Pttl etc about 10 seconds latter it flashes power pack after that no what you do it wont respond to any button . After searching etc I found out Metz recommends turning on flash every 3 months other wise it has capacity trouble . I put it on the camera K3II and it works ie flashes puts the shutter to 1/180 etc . I got in touch with Australia agent and they said its a common problem ( flash about 5/6 years old) and cost not worth it The flash is defaulted to last setting ie turns off after 10 mins and had the 2 flash part working ( which is what I had it on last time)
On a side note he told me the Metz lighting / flash section of flash has gone .
So if any 1 has a Metz I would recommend if not using the flash for a while I would turn it on every few months
I never had this happen to any other flash with led screens etc
When I went to Metz it takes you to 2 sections either tv s etc or electric pushbikes
Any 1 here about either parts either the problem and Metz lighting in general

After my daughter cheap DSLR once broke due to camera strap coming undone I now put the strap on like whats showed but also get out a needle and thread and sew the ends up so they cant come undone but also I use fishing snaps so I can take the strap on and off
Also with the strap over shoulder type that attach to the base of the DSLR where is screws onto where the tripod attaches I also put a bit of paracord attached to the part that screws onto the sling / camera and to 1 of the camera stapes loops . As I was very luck 1 day the screw came lose and camera fell on to a soft counion , so once bitten twice shy ,

Like others have said a better camera / guitar / bike etc wont make a average person better BUT I have also gone down that path with camera / Bass guitars ( only real instrument none of that 6 string stuff ) & to be honest better gear makes life much better & also you wount be as frustrated with thing like crappy necks sharp frets guitars not set up correct . Just like cameras where you can adjust better type of auto focus able to adjust aperture & shutter on 2 different dials with out having to press 2 buttons to get say aperture on lower end models like K100 super .
I say buy what you can AFFORD & that is only be answered by you ( and maybe if you have a other 1/2 him or her as well)

Reason why I own Pentax because I bought in new when ME Super was new ( long time ago LOL) & i guess I just on buying Pentax compatible gear.
Reason why now I have jumped ship I couldnt afford it to be honest & at 57 I dont think I would get the value out of it.
I own a K3II & grip a 19/35 3.5/ 4.5 , 28 /80 f 2.8 , 105 2.8 50 f 1.7 80 / 200 f 2.8 120 / 400 f 4.5 / 5.6 & various flashes . If you work it what it would cost to replace with similar gear say a d500 / 7d from Nikon / Canon & then would it make me a better photographer ?
