Thanks to all who entered a photo in this week’s P52 theme, Architecture Streetview. Here are my comments for each photo.

Rense – This is a great photo! I enjoy the leading lines from the modern sky scrapers, power lines, and the railroad tracks. The gentlemen in the photo is probably wondering what happened to the old days as well.

Tamia – I enjoy your photo for its low street perspective and angle. The sepia color conversion also gives the town that “old vintage” feel. Your comments about the abundant resources of beer, smokes, soda and snacks remind me of some of the towns outside of Philadelphia…

Jheu02 – Nice capture of down town Winston Salem. The lack of people in the photo is a plus, gives off that calm city feel. I think you did a great job on the sharpening, not to soft, not to sharp, just right!

Danloc78 – Nice shot Dan! Philadelphia is a great place for a photographer and I think this photo is an excellent example. This photo has great architecture, and the evening colors make the photo pop. Great use of the slow shutter speed as well.

Slinco – Your photo sure does give off the peaceful feel! I enjoy the building to the left, nice vintage architecture. I think many of us can relate to your comments about skipping breakfast and shower. It’s the photog way to act when inspiration shows its face.

Jmschrei – Nice photo! Your entry is satisfactory indeed for the theme. Did you use a wide angle lens for this capture? I enjoy the wide view of the street and condos. Nice colors as well in the sky and trees.

Bbluesmen – This capture reminds me of a refreshing toast to your favorite city, Cheers! I enjoy the OOF city in the background, and cool selective color conversion with the blue cup.

JanVan – This is a nice neighborhood capture! Great job at composing the pic, using the trees to frame the row homes.

Iris – The B&W conversion was a great move. I think it makes the clouds and sky look dynamic. I also enjoy the old school architecture of the labor houses. Nice Pic!

Ovim – I enjoy the old wooden architecture of the homes, reminds me of beach homes here on the east coast. Sukkavartaankatu is quite the street name!

And the winners are!!!

Third – Iris

Second – Rense

First – Dan

Thanks to all the participants! Dan you have the honor of being the judge for the next theme, OOF.

Corey
