An immature Bald eagle that is molting into its next stage of maturity(except now during the winter). The various shades of brown at this age is quite striking. I'm guessing about 1 1/2 years old. Shot with a K3III and the 560. I purchased the lens used and have used it almost every day for about 6 months. So far so good. It's a love hate relationship for sure. It can produce some outstanding images. But CA control is not very good for what it sold for new. In comparison, the 150-450 is a reliable bargain. That being said, I'm not getting rid of it anytime soon.

What you say is absolutely true. The glacial pace of new products and the relatively small product offering, especially full frame is frustrating if one pays attention to what is happening with other brands, which a potential customer is doing.
For the most part, I don't, so I'm not as concerned about it as others.
The only other brand I pay attention to is Fuji, and they are a little overwhelming in selection.
There are a couple of lenses I'd like to see, and I'd welcome a new full frame body with open arms. I'm hoping for the K1 replacement this year, and have predicted it for this year.
Hopefully I got it right.

For all K-5 series of cameras. They all used pretty much the same sensor. I can still remember when the K-5ii and K-5iis came out in 2013 how scandalized some were that Pentax would dare use a three year old sensor in what was supposed to be their flagship camera! Little did they realize that sensor technology had by 2010 plateaued and was pretty much stuck in neutral.

Old the K-5 might be, but it still boasts the second highest dynamic range score of any APS-C camera tested by DxoMark. Thanks for your kind remark about the photo.
Thanks as well for the kind remarks.
