Maybe there is no actual health concerns, but paranoia issue is real. My sister nearly got her Takumar 50mm 1.4 confiscated in an airport. Ultimately security guys let her keep the lens, but they were quite hesitant.

Did you mean optical viewfinder or rear display? If optical viewfinder is black, that means mirror is stuck in upper position. In that case temporary removing battery could help. If it's still stuck, then must be more serious issue.

Is it silver or black version? I already have black one, but silver one would go nicely along my silver DA 20-40mm limited. Now, I hope you didn't thought I am greedy, did you? See, I just need a backup.
