I want to get a K-50 with the 18-135mm WR lens. I found one for $750, the best deal I've seen so far but I'm wondering If I should jump on it or wait. Will there be better sales for Black Friday or maybe more after the holiday season? What's the best time for me to buy?

Great! I think that's what I've been wanting to hear, but this ids the first time that I've been told that the quality is actually pretty good on th 18-135.

Thanks everyone, for me, those pics with the 18-135 look great to me so I'll just go with that and if I feel a need for more then I'll look into one of these wide angles.

Great information, I think definitely now I'll just get the zoom then see where that takes me. I got my guess of 28 by looking through a 18-55 my dad has for a nikon. I think now if I go for a prime then I'll look at like a 21mm or one of the others suggested above but I do like the idea of having some freedom like a 10-24. The idea of prime though was for the improved sharpness and overall quality as opposed to the zoom at the same length, is the smaller zoom range like 10-24 gonna give this advantage or will it be just like the 18-135 in terms of quality?

I'm considering getting a K-50 with an 18-135mm but then I would want to get a "nice" lens for taking landscapes. I'm thinking I want a prime somewhere between 18 and 30, namely 24 and 28mm but can't decide which to go for. Also where would you get such a lens, I was looking around for an smc Pentax-M 28mm and could only find it used on places like ebay. Would I even need to get a prime?
