Wow,I did not think I would get attacked in such a manner.
Check out posts from luma for example, maybe few so far but it is in fact an issue.
I am just pointing this out to the op to consider,I am in fact thinking of puchasing this camera.
Just on a journey like everyone else
Thanks-Shawn

Hi
This whole issue is holding me back from what I thought would be a great camera.
I too am in Canada.
What was your shutter count when it failed?

Hey Folks
Have researched every Pentax camera ever produced I think.
I was decided on a K50 until I came across the K50 aperture block issue.
Would this issue alone be a reason to abandon the K50 ?
Thanks-Shawn

Hi Folks
I am looking at buying a dslr, coming from an ME Super, and various point and shoots over the years.
I have a couple of lenses, "Pentax A series 35-105",and "M series 1.4 50mm"
So I have been looking at K5 vs k50 and wondered if focus peaking should sway me to one or the other.
I would probably use the old lenses for a while until budget allows for af versions.
Any thoughts
Thanks Shawn

Hi folks
I was just looking for some advice,
I used an ME Super years ago,and got away from photography for a while.
When kids came along we used small pocket digital cameras, but I have not been happy with the results.
Soooo,I have been looking at the K50 to get back into things.
I have these lenses now,
SMC Takumar 55mm f2 screwmount
Pentax M 50mm f1.4
Pentax A 35-105 f3.5 zoom.
Do you recommend I get a kit with lens,or just body and my existing lens to get a start on things
I am just thinking I could save a bit if I just go for the body, and put towards a wider prime maybe?
Thanks-Hugh
