A Tale of Amazon and the Postal Service.

I get a lot of shipments from Amazon. What is irritating to me, is that they do not advise you a pkg is coming USPS! I don't get mail delivery, and my PO box at the post office simply says "undeliverable", and is returned! :( If I knew in advance I'd not order, if it's coming USPS.

That's an amazing shot, considering it was from a boat with the motor vibrating! Very well done! If it was mine, it would be framed & hung on a wall!

pjv; great post! I so enjoyed Rupert on the forums, his big heart shined thru each & every post. I do agree, that waiting for a specific date to give this award, kind of takes the "luster" out of it.

This is off topic, but I will reply. I've had cameras all my life, and got started with Pentax with the K10. (Still have it!). I was more than pleased with the photos it turned out. I then added a K3, and now a KP. I was a heavy Canon and Nikon user during the years, and certainly were happy with them; but coming to Pentax is where my journey of looking at different cameras ends.

I'm very pleased the OP seems to have gotten a satisfactory response from Precision! It's good to know that they are trying to make it right for him!

"The Commonlands 3.2mm is an M12 mount lens, you will need a M12 to C mount adapter, and a "rotating collar style" C mount to Pentax Q adapter."

Could someone post a US link to the adapter and C Mount? Confusing to find the correct items, for me.

A moderator that does that, on forums such as this one, would not last very long. If there's a conflict of interest of a moderator participating in a thread, then they leave the moderating to the rest of the team.

I don't know why you are so concerned about moderating. I can tell you, without moderating; this site, and many others would simply disolve into complete chaos.

As Big Mack said, the moderating/administration staffs are volunteer! No pay, whatsoever; simply that we wish to keep the sites as it should be, friendly, and welcoming to all members.

I did not create this situation. I'm referring to Pentax Forums, that all of us help to create a friendly atmosphere.

I'm not a moderator here, but on another site, and yes; same as here; moderators are members also, and participate as such.

I've been a Moderator on another forum since 2005. I can assure you (OP) that a "little emotional agitation" is not good for the forums, rather is a turn off for the majority of the membership; not to mention the additional work on the staff moderating it. Many of the members on my other site have said repeatedly, that if someone wants this type of action on the site; that there are many other sites that offer this.

This forum is a laid back, friendly place for us to engage in our love of photography. We gather many "friendships" thru these forums, that are indeed very gratifying. If this changed, and "emotional agitation" started creeping into the forums, it would no longer be our haven of enjoyment.

I'm very happy with this one, the silver color matches the Q7 nicely. I've had this type of hood on my original Q also. Just needed something to attach it with, as this adhesive didn't hold.

Thank you! I'll look for the 3M tape. I would not be removing it, unless it broke (not opening/closing).

Also, many thanks for editing the title!

I recently purchased a silver lens hood for my Q7. Love it! However, the adhesive holding it on the camera is not holding.

What recommendations for an adhesive (removable) do you have?

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Why i use my camera less and less

One other thing that keeps my interest up. Due to medical problems, I've had little chance to use my equipment. This was so depressing, as I finally had the perfect kit (for me), and it sat there, looking as forlorn as I did. Now that I'm able to take a few photos, now; doesn't matter to me if it's a beautiful deer, sunset, birds, or even just a blade of grass; it's so fulfilling to have that camera in my hands once again.

We don't miss what we have, until we don't have it.

Regardless of how many times I've seen a subject, the thrill of getting a photo of it, still remains. Each photo of the very same subject will be different, due to lighting, etc. If I felt no need to take photos, then why hang onto all my equipment that gives me so much joy?

My equipment is all battery, except my riding mower; which is only used a couple times a year (no lawn). I love the ease of battery equipment, and especially the lines that the same battery fits all their products.
