Just a quick update incase someone else will experience the same problem. The camera was serviced without costs by Pentax even thou outside the warranty period, seems like this is a know issue.

Tried all modes, no joy! Resigned to shooting with the iPhone! Cam goes in for service when I get home...

Looks like it needs to go in for service. Tried lifting the shutter a few times but it still wont move when exposing! Thanks for your time thou!

Hi, thanks for the input!
The mirror move's fine, but it seems like the curtain infront of the sensor is stuck. Don't know if it is safe to try to move it manualy?

Hi,
Tried to search the forums for this but can't seem to find a answere.
Lately my K5 started to produce black exposures. Everything else seems to work ok but the picture is all black as if the lense cover is on. (Its off)
LV is also black and exposure/aperture/iso flashes red (as if cover is on...)
Have been able to resolve this before with removing the battery and a short wait but this time the problem persists.
Firmware is upgraded to 1.15 I belive.
Any suggestion is welcome as I am on holliday and would love to take some nice pics!
Btw.. Problem comes with any of my Pentax lenses.. Right now the 21mm limited is mounted.
