PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Pentax FA 31mm F1.8 SMC AL Limited Black Asking Price
875.00 USD Item Location
Tempe, AZ (United States) Item Description
I've had this lens for less than 7 months. In that time I've taken maybe a couple of hundred photos. The condition of the lens is excellent. No scratches on the lens or anywhere. Outside of lens cover isn't at 100%. Everything works well.
For what it's worth, this is from the initial Japan run, not the later Vietnam production.
I need to write no words about the legendary qualities of this lens.

Hi all,
I've sent in my K5 IIs for repair to Connecticut. The autofocus wasn't working. Everything else is great. The standard repair rate is $210 or something. But I called them due to a "Delay" message on the website and they are now quoting $430 for replacing the main board, mirror box, and a couple of other things.
Financially speaking, what are my options here?

How do I check this? ---------- Post added 11-02-15 at 02:30 PM ----------
Yes Steve, seems to focus just fine. Lens works great as full manual without autofocus.Edit: I have not checked AF with the FA 35. ---------- Post added 11-02-15 at 02:31 PM ----------
What height should it be proud of the mount? It does move in and out according to lever.

The autofocus on my K5 IIs isn't working. When I first got my 35 mm f/2.0 manual aperture lens, I went through some procedures to be able to adjust it. I never used the autofocus for a long time, until recently when I got the 31 limited. Now even when I want to use autofocus, I can't. I hear a series of clicks. The side knob is in AFC/S. The aperture ring on lens is at A.
What is the problem, if any, and what is the remedy?
Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks all

I certainly will. I cancelled the 18-135 order, and instead bought 18-55 and 50 mm 1.8, two lenses for the price of one basically. Just got the camera today. I'm already considering replacing the 18-55 with a 18-135!
Used to live in Scarborough, and boy do I miss Ontario sometimes. No Timmy's double double down here :-[

Thank you, I.O. I just ordered the 18-135 WR. Seems versatile enough. God it's pricey though, at about 300 bucks. I like to hike and backpack, and the weather resistance is useful to me. That was the reason to get a lens with similar sealing. By the way I'm a beginner, and my current piece is a Canon S110, which is remarkable in it's own right.
I'm dreading the seemingly imminent onset of LBA :-[

Hello all,
My name is Dilip, and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new K-5 IIs. I look forward to spending more time on this forum, gaining insight and tips.
That being said, I've only ordered the body. Which lens would be most ideal to start with?
Thanks!
Dilip
