I am just getting used to using a Pentax K100D that I inherited. I got excited concerning some of the group using 64g cards. My camera will not accept anything bigger than 2g which are getting very hard to find. I read the part about firmware update. where is it found? Is it difficult to update my camera?
By the way, my last problem was solved by installing lithium batteries. thanks to all for the hellp

The Energizer Lithium solved my problem. Thanks for all the suggestions. i still don't see why It suddenly decided to not accept the various other types of batteries I have been using without a problem for the past several years. I did clean the contacts with a ink type eraser. that didn't help. Oh well, its working now and I have my fingers crossed.

I was shooting most of the day and late in the day i was given the warning that the "battery was deleted". I tried my spares. same message. got home opened new package of batteries. same message.
the last set was new. the others tested as good. any suggestions for repair. I have had this used camera for about 3 years without a problem.
