My Mail:
18-135 WR lens has slight lateral movement even while slightly extended. Is this normal?

This is very disheartening and disappointing. Should I really regret buying this K50+18-135 kit?!
I wanted a smaller than my Nikon to carry around and had never read bad comments about Pentax. It used to be one of the better brands for many years!

Hi there
So you mean it's normal for all "Pentax" zoom lenses? as I mentioned my Nikkor 28-300 does not move at all, it sits firm, no lateral movement, although it occasionally creeps down!

Hi
It's not creeping, it seems that it's not sitting tight, it's kind of lateral looseness. I can hold it at the extended end and move it around (left/right or Up/down) about one or two millimeter!

Hi
Have had my K-50 Kit with 18-135 lens for 2 months now. Recently I noticed that when extended it has a slight movement/looseness. Compared with my Nikon 28-300 that sits real firm, wondering if this lateral movement is acceptable or something is wrong with the lens?!

P.S. I've never dropped or abused my camera!
