First, figure out if you want an internal or external frame pack. Internal frame packs give you a smaller profile, but can tend to be a bit uncomfortable. External frame packs are bulky, but you can attach things to the exterior of the pack if needed, and they are generally set up better for distributing weight. I have a kelty yukon 55L (50L?), it would not be large enough to store my full normal camera bag plus overnight supplies. However, camera body plus 2 lenses, strap the tripod to the frame, and that'd work. I'd say no more than 65L pack for an overnight anything more would be overkill. Alternately, you could get a tactical vest with deep side pockets for lenses, wear your camera on neck strap, and go with something as simple as a small rucksack for overnight supplies. rothco used to make tactical vests that would easily hold a da300 prime (or more) in the side pockets (i used to keep spare 20oz CO2 tanks in mine for paintball. But the TLDR takeaway of my post here is that you should find something that you'll be comfortable wearing, and will store the minimum of what you need without being overkill. Comfort and weight distribution will be the most important aspects.

You could record directly to a laptop using the HDMI output into a capture card device such as an elgato or avermedia usb capture, and use OBS studio or some other video software that can read from the capture device. It's the most expensive solution outside of purchasing an external monitor (unless you don't have a laptop), but it also gives more options such as the ability to livestream video or add overlays to videos for informatics and such which will make it a more versatile option in general.

That's some weird firmware display for a K-50. That aside, your problem might be aperture block related. It could also be the exposure sensor at the bottom of the mirror box housing. The lens you were using... did it have an aperture ring, or was it fully automatic, or a PLM lens? If it had an aperture ring, then it would make sense for the exposure to be fine using manual mode if the lens isn't set to Auto or A. If it's something like the 18-55 kit lens, then all images would have been dark with aperture block issue unless the aperture solenoid temporarily worked after several shots.
More testing should be done, especially after the camera has been sitting for a while.

SMC Pentax F/FA 80-320mm prone to fungus though, so beware looking at any listings. Loved mine while it was alive. Keep in mind that you'll need to get a lens hood if you get one. They're really inexpensive.

There is always the Samyang/Rokinon/Bower 14mm as well. No autofocus, but that's going to be plenty wide for just about any WA application.

I have the actual Samyang 10mm, not rokinon or bower, so it is available in K mount under samyang branding. Bought mine from B&H Photo Video around 2015-ish.

i use the samyang 10mm extensively, and have been using it for several years. The build quality is decent, but you should always check to make sure that you don't get a decentered lens. I honestly wouldn't really bother trying to adjust the focus ring for infinity focus, if you're doing daytime shooting, just use live view with focus peaking. If shooting at night, set the brightest star you see in center frame, and then adjust the lens until the star is as small as possible. Being a little off on infinity focus on a lens like the 10mm isn't going to throw everything horrifically out of whack especially for landscapes. You'll notice it more during astrophotography or for subjects closer up, at which point for the latter, you won't be using infinity focus. The sweet spot for lens sharpness is around the f/5.6 mark, but it's a fairly sharp lens all around. There is one thing of note to mention however, and that's "mustache deformation". You can look that up in the forums here fairly easily. One of the staff members here at PF made an in-depth review of the lens, which is a very good read.

Forums have been around long before modern social media. I predict they'll be around long after. Forums are more like the old BBS systems of the day. Social Media sites like FB, etc... are by and large largely impersonal, but forums tend to be more like communities, which people can have meaningful interaction through, seeing the same posters year over year. Sites like FB on the other hand, tend to be more impersonal, and resort to trying to find every possible way to keep you on the platform as long as possible through things like games, or adding video, news, etc... In short for the TLDR people, FORUMS ARE NOT DOOMED.

Anything between 10-20mm should be fine for astro on aps-c, full frame you can probably go up to 28-35mm. While a faster lens is preferred to cut down exposure times, you can make due with f/3.5-4.5 at longer exposures. If you have a camera body with astrotracer built in, or o-gps1 unit, then you can push your exposures for a longer time before you get star trailing. Though, winter isn't the best time to do milky way shots in the northern hemisphere.. that's more of a late spring-mid fall thing.

a lens hood does help, though you need a screwmount hood. I had one until fungus got too bad. It was a nice zoom, not the fastest thing on the block for focusing, but it was really nice for closeups of wildlife at min. focus distance.

man... I wish our gas was $2.27/gal. It's currently at $2.89/gal. Anyway, I'd have to agree with everyone else that it's an overexposure issue on the lighting. You might need to pick a better spot to meter off of. You could also stop down a tiny bit, or try working with another color mode like reversal film (this will probably really mess with your colors).

Hey, I'm probably crazy... but on my K-50 I can trigger video recording using an IR remote, but for the life of me I have found no way to do so on the K3-II... I've dug around in menus, etc... IR remote works in all other modes but video. Any clues?

But they said it was consistent with all 3 of their lenses, so the firmware revision wouldn't matter. I can think of 2 potential problems... the light/exposure sensor in the bottom of the sensor box, or the aperature solenoid. If your other 2 lenses have aperature rings, set the camera up to use aperature ring operation, and test exposures by using manual aperture. If doing so results in proper images, try a lens without manual aperature operation and see if problem resumes. If so, then it's aperature failure. If manual aperature does not solve the issue, then light sensor is suspect.

The F/FA models of the 30-80mm and 28-105mm. Not ideal in all situations, especially on APS-C, but when you get them dialed in just right for the shooting conditions they just seem to come to life.

i use a nikon coolpix AW130 ($289 in 2017 via b&h). waterproof up to 100ft. takes decent stills and decent video. have not found a way to disable microphone during video shooting yet but haven't gotten many chances to use it either. weakpoint is using the flash, it tends to reflect off of the waterseal plastic and cause speculars/spots in lower light instances. Otherwise a good camera and has gps and wifi built in, as well as NFC.

Everyone is correct when they mention "where you have it pointed at in the sky" being a determining factor of exposure length trail free. For example, in my experience with the area I shoot at and where I point the camera an exposure of 1min 30sec using Astrotracer, ISO 800 @ f/3.2 on samyang 10mm f/2.8 lens will get fairly nice images, but when you start zooming in, there are still trails... to remedy this, I would need to drop the exposure time to 1min 10sec for completely trail free stars, where pointing the camera in another direction would require a different exposure time. But unless you're going to view or print the images at 100%, 1m 30s does just fine as a dummy starting point for astrotracer exposures just trial and error afterward to reduce any trailing.

Well, I traded in the '10 fusion se for a '19 Outlander Sport. Built in Jan 2019, it had 13mi on it when I took it for a test drive. It's the 2.0L FWD Auto model, fairly similar on mpg to the fusion... does worse in some cases, better in others. The stereo isn't as good as the one in the '10 fusion, but then again, the stereo in a current fusion would be a sync model with no volume.
