put me down for #2 as well. excellent! I personally would prefer a little more contrast, or 'zip', and maybe all of the foreground trees from top to bottom, but that's just a small point.
the first one, for me, is ok, but doesn't really 'do' anything for me. I've no doubt it would be impressive to be there, but that's not really captured in the image. Without knowing I'd suggest waiting until dawn, or dusk, going wide and lower, going super-wide and lower, getting something in their to provide some scale?
My penneth anyway.

I've gone through the site, done some housekeeping, and taken some decisions.
Would you be so kind to revisit and let me know what you think please?
Is it clearer, 'friendlier', more professional?
Thanks in advance :)

Great idea, but it looks a little too flat to me. May be an idea to have some lighting to the side - hair light? - to give some definition on your subject.

Wow Ben! A lot to think about, and digest, and on a first read right on the money. Thank you BIG time :)
Congratulations btw on your new journey - hope the little one is keeping you on your toes.

Thanks guys :) much appreciated.
I've redone the thumbs and images and reduced them considerably (I thought they would be ok, but...)
Some of the thumbs (as resolutely refuse to unstretch and I'm looking into why at the moment, but have so far drawn a blank. (btw - I totally agree they look untidy)
Hopefully the 'barking' has ceased ;)

Been a while since I've posted here. My baad. I will endeavour to not leave it so long next time.
I would really appreciate some constructive feedback on my portfolio site - www.espacion.com - as I am intending to go self-employed in the coming months. Site, layout, content etc.
All suggestions etc. will be greatfully received. Thank you in advance.
Dave

I've also had the 55-300 for a while and am more than happy it given the cost and quality although I'd agree that it may be useful to also spend on a monopod for extra stability or keep an eye for anchor points.
A warm welcome BTW :)

Welcome :)
If any one else mentions the heat I think I'll slump into a deep, dark depression ;)
It's getting colder, and colder here. Roll on the Spring!

With some PP on the hightlights on #2 I'd suggest asking the owners if they'd like to include it in their publicity material. It looks like it could be.
To be honest the others don't really do much for me (sorry :( ) although it does look like a beatutiful place to spend some time.

ALL of them are excellent.
1 & 4 are the stand-out ones for me.

#4 and #8 are the stand-out ones for me too.
In #4 the textures are fabulous - maybe a tighter crop or different ratio? 16:9, 1:1 would be worth exploring? Just an idea.
#8 - have to agree with bluesman. framing is great, but I'd prefer if the PP brought out a little more punch (it appears a little washed out on my screen so i may be just me)

Man oh man, these are absolutely stunning.
My only gripe is that there are some dust spots which need to be removed.

They all (B&W) work for me. OK the original posts could be regarded as oversharpened, but IMHO they are still eye-catching and good photographs.

I'd really appreciate some comments from you guys on this. Have been playing with flash and trying to get my head around lighting - as well as some PP.

Nope I don't think it's reasonable one bit. It feels massively under-priced. $400 to use an image on 'global' packaging? I'd have a good look round and see what you can find out before possibly underselling youself.
e.g. NUJ Freelance Fees Guide: General advice - Negotiating fees "always get the client to put their offer first."
It's from the UK, but there could be some useful things in there.
