Thank you all for your idea's, opinions and experiences.
The cards have been shuffled a bit. The d800 would ad up to 1475 with the 50mm F1.8 g lens but the best deal I can get with the K3 is body plus 35mm f2.4 (both new) for €950. €525 to spent ellswhere is just to big of an amount (part of it goes to a 2015 Ducati scrambler, but that'is a different story :-) to not choose the pentax.

Yeah I have thought about that.. but still the d800 probably has the better resale value.
If only Pentax would give us a glimp into the very near future (lenses, body's etc)

Yes, but d800 is second hand with 55k shots.... (but with 6 months warranty)

Thanks everyone for your answers.
I'm convinced that the K-3 stil has some life to it.. :-)
Now I only have to choose between a d800 or a k-3 (k-3 is €300 cheaper)

Hello everybody,
In my search for a new camera (and system) I am almost ready to order an K-3. When I called my local dealer who can make me a fair price he told he could no longer order new K-3's. When I asked why, he told me the camera is end of life.
So, is it true and is the K-3 no longer in production or does he want to me make another choice... ;)

Hello everybody,
My Name is Philippe and I live in The netherlands, so excuse if my english isn't perfect:D.
I have been reading up on al the news and experiences considering Pentax lenses and camera's on your excellent forum.
I used to be a Pentax owner (k-5) but sold it and went M4/3. But now, after selling my M4/3 gear (e-m1, 14-54,lens etc) am looking for an new camera (including the system) to further expand my hobby. Reason why i sold the E-M1: dindn't really like the handeling and although the results were oke, they didn't blow me away (noise on low iso, DR etc.).
So..i'm in doubt right now..:D should I get:
K-3 with 18-135 for €1200 (new)
A7 with 28-70 for 1400 (new)
New D750 ex. lens for €1950
Second hand d800 ex. lens for 1350 (50k shots, but 6 months warranty)
Samsung NX-1 with 16-50 lens for 1999... (looks promising)
Reason why i don't jump in to a K-3 right now is the lack of news about the future (as always) and the uncertainty if they will putout new K-3 like aps-c camera's and lenses.
The photograpy what I like to do:
- Street (City/holiday)
- Nature/landscape (on hikes and during MTB trails)
- Everything else...
- I'm a little pixelpeeper....:o
