Used Sigma 400 AF f5.6 is very nice long tele, less than US$200 in Ebay.

Just set colour mode to BW, liveview will be shown in monochrome. Save image in DNG and it will be full colour anyway.

You may check Nissin Universal Shoe Cord SC-01, it works for Canon,Nikon,Olympus,Panasonic,Pentax,Fuji. Metz-58 AF-1 and Pentax AF-540FGZ work all right with it on my K-3.
