Apparently there is a way to use Fuji Instax film in the 67. I happened to see a youtube video detailing this technique, but have not yet tried it as you require an Instax camera to "develop" the film.

GR - charging flexibility?

Do you have a powerbank?(back up battery for charging phones/tablets away from mains)
I tried charging my GRii using the stock cable with my powerbank and it works great
and is easy to recharge on the go if you have a bag with you, or even big pocket.

* I would not use a bargain powerbank that is under $30. You would better served with a higher capacity
one that costs a bit more, as you get the utility to recharge the gr's 1250mAh battery many times and

has intelligent management of the rate of charge)

{my 20100mAh powerbank can recharge many times over several days away from mains ac}

A Few HSS Examples

Awesome post to illustrate what HSS can do. I was recently reading a Street Photo Blog where the author was espousing the benefits of leaf shutter cameras for their ability for high speed shutter flash sync speeds and daylight fill. Your shots are imo much better examples of the technique and it can be used with Focal plane shutter equipment as well! How easily (quickly) were you able to dial in the exposure for your examples? On the blog I mentioned, he was using the flash in manual and quickly dialling in the flash power from full to 1/64, by trial and error, finding the right amount of flash in 2 to 4 shots. Does HHS only work in P-TTL or can you also use it in M?

Awesome shots! Especially love the composition in #3, with the colours of the Mclaren echoed in the red and white of the curbing. Looks like you could give a clinic on panning technique!

Some shots taken yesterday evening with my local photography Meetup group.
The theme for the shoot was "Creepy Dolls"

I was shooting with my K3, using my fa50mm f1.4, and my Sigma 17-50 f2.8.
It was my first time shooting with paid models using release forms.

- so I believe that I must give accreditation when posting these images-
(mods, if this is against PF rules, please advise.)

Repair Cost for DA15mm Missing Focusing Screw

I have a chance to pick up a DA15mm Limited for cheap due to it being manual focus only.
Apparently the focusing screw has been lost or fallen out some how.
How much would one expect to pay for the repair to fully restore AF to this lens?

Thanks

No special instructions required. XP2 is a chromogenic black and white film that is made for development in the same chemistry (C41), as normal colour negative film like Ektar.

Thank you both for your input. To Alamo5000, the tip about scouting locations and revisiting is great advice. I find that I am still a bit anxious about photographing people, and that I am sometimes discouraged by my low number of "keepers". Focusing on setting up the shots beforehand, I think will help a lot.

To yucatanPentax, yah I also think that the B&W conversion of the Man in the shadow is better. It was a very hot and bright afternoon, and he positioned himself in the shade of a telephone pole for some respite from the sun. I think if I showed that pole in the frame, that it would have worked better.
But due to him being in shadow, I had to spent a bit more time playing with the settings in Camera Raw when bringing the file into photoshop. Do you have any rules of thumb for B&W conversion?

Here are a couple of shots that I cropped and pp'd to B&W...
I would value any input.
Thanks,
Halide

EDIT: I just noticed that my before and after for the first image are 2 different shots,
I kinda think the first has a better sense of movement.

I like this too! I think that the green in plants and in the windows really unifies the composition. Good work!

I believe that the Usb 3 downgrade to usb 2 micro is probably true.
I used to own a Samsung Note 3 phone that used the same usb 3 connector as on the K-3, I have since upgraded to the Note 4, and it was downgraded to usb 2 micro, and it stayed the same for the latest Note 5.

It makes no difference in use, Who transfers images directly from the camera anyway? I use an SD card reader(usb3) doesn't everyone?

(I use tethering with my Canon 70D and it uses Mini Usb 2)

In your email sent Sept 18:

"I hope I did things right. Postage came to only $27. I will refund the difference, I think there is tracking but I couldn't quite follow the details. I will send what appears to be the tracking info later. If there is no tracking there is delivery confirmation at least. The PayPal postage site is usually less confusing.

Brad Shea"

I have not yet received any tracking info from you or received any refunded postage.

What's up?
