The question is Capture one supports Pentax RAW files? ---------- Post added 01-22-15 at 10:42 PM ---------- I think it does not.

as far as I know the Image Transfer II is only for the 645Z. It works fine, it just does what it says it does. Gives you remote control over the machine, if connected via USB3 transfer of image is about 1 second.

Is heavy. No doubt, but probably lighter than two primes :-). And yes, most of the lenses of this camera the size of this one would need a lens tripod collar.. But good glass is heavy.

If you used f22 as I have read, yes, you are getting refraction issues, the lest best sharpness is around f11, and I have actually compared it to the 25mm and the 28-45 is way sharper from full open to f22.

So is there any optical difference between the 120 A and FA? Other than the metal feeling? Have in mind the 90mm is only 1:2 so really not that so much macro. Quality is superb though.

I got the battery from B&H for my 645Z, don't know what the box said because I don't have it anymore. But the back have 3 contacts, and space for a 4th with nothing on it. It says D-LI90 and is 1860mAh

.3 seconds, the average human reflex time is .25 seconds. Meaning you might get a total of .45 seconds delay. Is that long enough to totally miss the moment?

Well. Comparing a 1DX to a 645Z is not exactly comparing apples to apples. I have being using both, but recently sold the 1DX, I feel lag but not really to take the photo, but more for the live view to return to live after taking the photo, that is what bothers me the most. I cant tell you numbers, but feels pretty instantaneous when you are on manual mode for focus. Sure having to close the live view, take the photo then will take some time. Those advertised times by Canon are not in live view mode by the way. Same process on the Canon, need to lower the mirror and then take the photo.

I'm using it in windows 8.1 and works perfectly, I see all the menus and all is fine, have it working on multiple computers and not a problem on any of them. Are you sure you using the latest firmware? And also have you clicked the little thing that says what you want to be downloaded? ---------- Post added 01-05-15 at 06:20 AM ----------
Best answer I've seen.

Could it be your monitor? I actually expose the chart which the current light setting I have at that moment, I'm not sure how useful could be to create a profile with a totally different light setup than what you will end using, and comparing the chart side y side with the monitor, an Eizo CG277 and it looks spot on.

I use it only at studio, for jewelry photography. Wonderful camera. From time to time I take it out for a little fun. But most of the time, indoors.

Just make the photo of the chart like half the size of the screen of less, just don't fill the screen, it works, the software seems to auto crop. I told them already that cameras like these do not have an option to make smaller RAW files. I would not keep my hopes on them releasing a new version.

I doubt very much is lens dependant. It is probably more like the Pocketwizzard was not designed to work with this camera, and have very specific programming to work with Canon and Nikon. I think you should contact Pocketwizzard support, they are pretty fast and awesome responding. ---------- Post added 12-27-14 at 09:30 AM ---------- Pocketwizzard have a great high speed sync option that it is engaged automatically with compatible cameras, but I doubt the Pentax can engage that mode, probably the only thing that is receiving is the shutter trigger, and those are probably expecting to have the whole TTL thing and that will not happen with his camera unless they come with a firmware for it.

It was the DA, not the DFA, brand new, and by the way, it has dropped like $1000 is $3800 now. Not sure why such drop in price.

Believe me, the zoom is sharper at any aperture specially on the edges. I tested them side by side.

You are wrong, a leaf shutter will give you about 1/1600 when an Einstein at low power will give you about 1/12000 and a leaf shutter will not let you use live view, neither work at 10 frames per second like I do with my 1D X. I use regular lenses with fast strobes to make things like this all the time. Victor Wolansky Photography |

I have not used it at night, but I did a comparison of the 25 VS the 28-45 and the zoom won hands down being sharper at every aperture and also corners on the 25 are not good at any aperture. Victor Wolansky Photography |

You found the 120 not sharp? Either you have a bad copy or you doing something wrong. I use it for jewelry and the thing IS sharp. The 90 is sharper, but you can't get 1:1 macro. The DFA lenses are better for sure. But the 120 is not a bad lens. Not at all. The 25, I got it and returned it in favor of the28-45 which is much better.
