I will check for that tonight, but do I have to manually move the mirror to get to the secondary one?
The bad thing was that I always clean my camera at someone else, but now I will buy a cleaning kit.

Lately I had some problems with my K-3 and many of my photos were blurry and the autofocus was really BAD even in daylight. Did some test shot with a focus chart and I suspected that the lens had some back/frontfocus issues.
Well, on the lens of the autofocus sensor I found a hair or some kind of clothing thread and I hope that thing was the origin of all my problems. Does anybody know if that 3cm hair can mess the autofocus that much? :o

My 18-135 seems to be in that situation, but sometimes maybe is my imagination (I'm hoping it's the humidity in the air). Only at the wider angle. The warrenty just expired a month or two ago ;)

I'm back from the trip. As I said, sometimes I did a small focus adjustement in the camera, but I can't see big difference. Anyway, here is a photo with a bird who was really close to me. Seems sharp... |

To be honest, I don't think I know where to look :)
Too bad that the 18_135 is my only lens with autofocus. I did a small adjustment but the results are not very clear.
For a wider scene what is the best setting? Single point AF.S?

The focus ring seems to work normal.
So, for backfocus I should adjust it with +1 and check it, or +2 if that's not ok. That if is not a front focusing problem?
I think that the warranty was for 2 years and maybe just ended a month ago, but I have to search for the papers.

The results with the autofocus are all over the place. I have tried to use fine adjustment with +/-. but I don't see a diference. How come that can of paint be so out of focus using just the autofocus?? The messy stuff is mostly at 18mm, but seems sharper at a bigger focal lenght.

I'll try to add another image tomorrow. It should be something like a cityscape or a closer object? That back focus thing doesn't sound too good and I really need the camera in the weekend :o

It was on AF-S with the center spot. AF fine adjustement is off, I don't really know how to use it. The lens was not dropped but if I want to clean the mount/contacts should a use something special or just the normal stuff for a lens?

I'm using a K-3 and 18-135 and I always had sharp images with this lens, but something is not right now. Recently I did some small cleaning to the sensor, but I don't think that is the reason of soft images and also not the diopter.
I know that at the wider angle it's not brilliant, but everything looks blurry. Or maybe I'm exagerating. 18mm f/5.0 1/125s ISO400
Any advice? :) |

It was really dark there, but I think the light is from a yongnuo light wand or a head lamp and later on we did a small camp fire and that light was even better

I was thinking about the bright, average and additive multi exposure modes. I hoped that in bright the pixels will bright up until a certain point and I will see longer star trails, but it seems it has some limits. I will try again in a night with more stars, but with a longer exposure than 30seconds.
It was cloudy :( I'm pushing the boundaries. I don't have now a remote that can do a series of exposure of 3 minutes, let's say.

I like using bright exposure for star trails and I have good result, but I have not used bulb mode until now. In a normal exposure, I am sure that the image will be even more overexposed, but I had similar results in Bright mode, so this is not an option for shooting stars, right?
Well, maybe using 250 frames overlayed in bright is the only solution in this case...;)

Hmmm...Last week I really got the camera wet...really wet. At first it was ok, but after that cold shower I went into the sun and soon after the battery was dead. New battery got the camera back on, but then it died again. And again with the third one. In my case I think it was some condensation inside the battery compartment. I have cleaned the contacts with a tissue and left the door open over the night and now it's ok.
But this was my case...
PS: I will post the short movie soon
