Hello! My history is similar, phone first, K-50 then. I don't know if it's a question but K-50 does not have the external mic input. Anyway, I believe it's a good entry level DSLR but it depends on what you already know :)

Hi all! I was on saturday trying (/learning) to shoot with bokeh effect and I liked this yard with all that greenish and brownish colours honoring the autumn. My intention was to capture the scene, what I tried was that the viewer felt in a fall cold day... in touch with the nature.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this picture, the goods and the bads, I'll appreciated everything :)

Thanks for the welcoming (if that expression is correct, hehe, not sure about that). Anyway I'm going to post a picture somewhere in the forum now so you can see my work and I can learn something. I just need to figure out where and how to do it properly.

I bought my Samsung Note 2 one and a half year ago and I haven't stopped shooting pictures with it. It's fast and pictures came up nice but I needed something else. So, I did some research and finally bought a K-50 a month ago, it's my first DSLR.

Hello everyone! Another newbie into the DSLR and Pentax world. I received my K-50 with kit lens DAL 18-55 3.5-5.6 exactly one month ago. I'm loving it. Today I took pictures for two hours, but it was so cold that I couldn't stay longer... Now I was sitting in front of the computer, organizing pictures (deleting most of them haha) and I thought it was time to say hello :)
