I would rather cut off my right leg than shoot a wedding. Besides the photographic challenges, you have to deal with emotionally irrational people.

I've got one on my Nexus, though I haven't used it in critical situations. You need to be aware of which setting it's on - reflected or incident - and know that you meter differently for each.

You might try a good contact cleaner, such as Deoxit, in case the SD card contacts within the camera body have become dirty/oxidized. The slot is too narrow to insert anything but an SD card, so apply the cleaner (I wouldn't use a spray to spray into the camera) to an SD card, insert it, extract it, wait a bit, and see if it helped.
