How big are your final prints? If your clients want them 48" wide, the K-1 will be better; if 24"x16" or less then you pays your money and you takes your choice.

For studio work, the static setups suit FF and MF, but for image quality you're working at f8, f11 with controlled lighting - APS-C like that Fuji or a K3 is perfectly adequate.

You have summarized well. There is no 3rd party lens support for Fuji yet.
I think it is better to go with the system that gives maximum output for the amount of time that we spend taking pictures. It is like buying a machine with faster cpu. If the system is able to compensate for inadequate technique that is not bad :) People who want to learn they will still learn.

The K-1 isn't wedding friendly. That would be my comment. Fuji or Sony... Winder had a post about this a while ago, He loves his A9 for weddings.

You might want to wait for the DFA 50mm release to see how it performs on the K1 for autofocus speed and accuracy. (Frankly though you'd expect them to have the 85mm out by now.) In my experience the screw drive lenses aren't great for accuracy around AF, and the DFA 24-70 and the 70-200 are by far the best focusing lenses on the K1 you can use for portraits. The 70-200 is truly great but it is heavy and expensive, and for that money you've got a new camera and change to spare.
I'm of a similar mind, dropping the K1 or keeping it for landscape and slower work, and looking at a different system for better AF, except I'm looking at Sony. A7 III doesn't cost much more than the X-H1. Eye autofocus seems to be a killer feature for portraits as to ease of use. On top of that, the spread of the autofocus points on the new Sony blows me away. https://photorumors.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Sony-A7III-mirrorless-camera-AF-points.jpg
The way that DSLRs cluster their autofocus points in the centre is a bit of a downside when you want to fill the frame... the point of interest in a portrait is so often outside the centre cluster.
Compare the A7 III spread with the Fuji: Fujifilm X-H1 Autofocus Explained | Fuji Addict
That said, I'm only looking at the specs, I've shot with neither outside of a camera store.
Another factor would be to look at what lenses you want now and what lenses you want in the long-term, prices for systems.

It is not easy to have auto-focus to get us well focused images with manual focus lenses. Fuji X-H1 is interest from AF and ergonomics standpoints, however, at this size I don't understand why they did not give it a better battery capacity, A7III is better in this respect, and not more expensive. The price / quality is what I don't like with Fuji.

"Big camera" syndrome + "big print" syndrome.
Bigger is better even if it's not necessary and comes with other compromises.

Sounds like the VIIs have that issue fixed - as for the re-seating thing, it has almost become a habit of mine with K-3 II
Regarding the the odd behavior with the FT16 trigger - it's broken. The joint where the trigger housing meets the hotshoe tightening fixture is lose and very easily loses contact and therefor wont fire.
Just got my replacement today - but the shop sent me FT16s, which I can't use at all. Doh! :P

I know less than @jatrax and @noelpolar.
However, I think I know that many users have been really delighted with the FA Limiteds. They seem to carry a grand reputation, so who knows whether they will ever be replaced?

Anyone who knows anything is not talking and anyone who is talking knows nothing.
There is no indication, speculation or rumor that Ricoh has any intention of doing anything with the FA limiteds. Which means nothing because there was absolutely no warning when they re-did the DA limiteds. As you can tell because I am talking, I know nothing. :)

Hello
I've tested this combo, updated to the recent Firmware versions: Pentax K3II - Firmware V 1.10 ( Realease on 04 August 2016) Metz 52 AF-1 - Firmware V 1.4 (Realease on 20.04.2017) - Pentax mount Cactus V6II - Firmware V1.1.010 (Released on 19 May 2017)
Hence there is no particular profile in Cactus V6II for Metz 52 AF-1, I used the Metz 50 AF-1 Profile, and the results are very decent. Attention: Auto-detect Metz flashes (Auto-Pentax on V6II), will not give good results
So I've tested the following sets:
On Tx: Camera System PENTAX | Flash System PENTAX | Costom Setings OFF | Flash Profile Metz AF50-AF-1
On Rx: Flash System PENTAX | Flash Profile Metz AF50-AF-1 With TTL-pass ON and OFF
Zoom on Metz - Doesn't work even with Zoom Auto set on Metz, The zoom is controlled mannualy on Tx, this is a feature not used for Off Camera Flash.
Focus Lamp (on the V6 II) - It works
good exposure - It works Perfect
max distance on display (changes when you move the apperture or speed dials) - Doesn't work, only changes if set changed on Tx, this is a feature not used for Off Camera Flash.
All works above Max sync speed - It works Perfect, TTL, on HSS, manual, everything works
Rx has a sports mode, that works too.
If used in Manual Mode (Tx - TTL Pass OFF) that gives you more creativity and control, it works really good.
I think this is a really good approach, and for me I'm satisfyied.
I'll keep waiting for next firmare, to have a complete profile, Special thanks to Class A, dfp771 and mcgregni
Regards.

Excellent info, especially with the dof info. Looking forward to receiving this 135mm even if it's a want rather than a need!

Of course I have only had the camera a few days - and am sure I could improve with practice, but my experience to date is that my success is much greater with the focus confirmation than trying to focus with the screen alone. (Actually I think this is a great feature of the camera. I use catch in focus on moving subjects, works great usually. All I have to do is change the switch on the front of the camera to AF to use catch in focus). Focus peaking is probably the best, and I intend to use it when tripod mounted - but I had no success hand held. For one thing I really need reading glasses for fine detail on the LCD and hate to carry them around, but even more so these two lenses that need adjustment are both heavy and much easier to hold steady when using the viewfinder. I understand the camera has no way to identify a MF lens, but seems like they could have let you associate an adjustment setting with a focal length, which you have to input in any case. Anyway it seems I may luck out. I think you are right that it is the lenses with shallow DOF where this is critical. For whatever reason it is very critical with the Macro lens. Today I tested the 400mm lens (my jury rigged set-up is similar to that suggested by dfp771, and seems to work well). It is less sensitive than the Macro, but also seems best at +2 setting. So its possible I needed a global adjustment. I haven't tested every lens yet, but the others I tested seemed to bee much less sensitive, and I couldn't really tell the difference between 0 and +2. So for now I am going to just leave it set on +2. I have just purchased an AF lens from a member off this site - so when it comes I will have something else to play with. Really enjoying the camera so far and glad I finally got it.

Excellent strategy
Provides most flexibility in PP
Ka-Ching!!!
A true white may be used in PP to dial in the appropriate WB from RAW. A neutral gray target may also be useful in Lightroom if you wish to use the dropper tool to set a custom WB.
