From a previous post. I have also used Canon FD close up lenses which are available in 52mm size & are doublets.
With the release of the K Series in 1975 Pentax introduced a new set of close-up lenses.
Six were available in two filter thread sizes and all had SMC coatings:
S25 (52mm: K50/1.4 & K55/1.8)
S40 (52mm: K50/1.4 & K55/1.8)
T80 (52mm: K85/1.8, K105/2.8, K120/2.8, K135/3.5 & K150/4)
T95 (58mm: K135/2.5 & K200/4)
T160 (52mm: K105/2.8, K120/2.8, K135/3.5 & K150/4)
T183 (58mm: K135/2.5 & K200/4)
“S” indicates the close-up lens is for “standard” lenses and “T” is for “telephoto” lenses. The “number” indicates the focal length of the close-up lens in cm. (The distance from film to subject, the shorter the focal length the bigger the magnification.) Usable/recommended K Series lenses are in brackets.
These are great close-up accessories that look & work exactly like a Pentax SMC fitter. They take up little space in your camera bag and are perfect for close-ups if you don’t own a macro lens or extension tubes. Unlike a macro lens or extension tubes there is no exposure factor or light loss.
The highest magnification you can get with a K Series close-up lens is 0.42x with a S25 and a K55/1.8 lens. That’s close to a K50/4 or K100/4 Macro lens, which both have 0.5x magnification.

All are so done well it's hard to choose. Picked # 11 as it is a variation on the traditional fruit theme for composition & lighting. #5 the best lighting & looks like a Rembrandt painting the way the light rendered. #3 my third favorite on a minimalist subject. Fourth is #12 for lighting & composition. Gold stars to the rest.

I use Eclipse & Pec-Pads from Photographic Solutions. Tried many others & this cleans better. Started using microfiber cloths from chip cleanroom supplies before they were marketed for photo use. Pec-Pads are lint free. Fabrics from Wally World aren't. Eclipse uses methanol for cleaning. Dries fast & streak free. Eyeglass cloths & cleaners contain chemicals & are to be avoided for photo use.

The most effective lens & filter cleaner I use is Eclipse optic cleaning liquid containing methanol & Pec-Pads from Photographic Solutions. One drop on a Pec-Pad is enough to clean a filter or lens. Dries immediately without streaks & buff with the pad. Easily removes the off gases that plastic filter or lens caps emit. 2 oz bottle of Eclipse can't be shipped from B&H. I got it at B&H over 4 years ago & still have 1/2 of it left.
Over the years I have tried ROR & other solutions & Eclipse still cleans the best without any residue. I have used methanol in the chip manufacturing cleanrooms & that led me to using Eclipse.
I started out using cleanroom microfiber lint free cloths before they were made commercially available for the photo industry. Quickly found out they cleaned off errant fingerprints off my lenses without scratching. Use soft brush in between for dust. No need to over clean lenses.
Lens cleaning cloths & optic solutions for eyeglasses are not recommended for lens or filter cleaning as they have other chemicals imbedded in them.

Thanks for the tech info. The drop from 104 degrees to around 70 about right. Lens is so easy to use. Always set on infinity, set f stop & click. I was worried when purchasing it wouldn't focus on infinity mark & was happy front & rear elements not scratched. The warm Canon look matches well with the K10D CCD sensor for color & B&W which I usually shoot.
