Long-time Pentax user, about to get a K-01. I expect to use it mostly with my 21 Limited & DA 50/1.8 giving a rather nice lightweight travel kit.
However, I also have the A 35-105 f3.5. I think of that as one of Pentax's best lenses & have used it a lot on other bodies. However I'm worried that it might seem a bit bulky & uncomfortable on the K-01. Does anyone have experience using it on K-01?

I think it is a bit overpriced now because it is new, but it might suit me rather well once the price drops a bit. I have some decent lenses but only k100 and K-x bodies. K-S1 is about 100 g lighter than k50, which is important to me. K-01 is tempting but I do not think I'd be happy without a viewfinder.
As for the k-3, it may be a wonderful camera for some people but I do not need the advanced features and cannot afford to pay for them.

I'm upgrading from K-X, want a lightweight compact system for travel. K-3 looks very good but it is significantly more money & more weight, and I probably would not use many of its more advanced features. The K-S1 might be just the ticket, especially if the price comes down a bit from the initial high one.

I like to travel, have used Pentax since wife & I each had an ME back in the 1970s. I no longer have either the wife or the camera. So it goes. Lately, a K-X but I've given that to my daughter, along with some of the lenses.
Travel rig will be mostly the classic compact/lightweight kit, around 35 & 75 mm equivalents. specifically, DA 50 1.8 and 21 Limited. Mostly 50 for street shots, 21 landscape or architecture. There'll also be a 28-200 Sigma, but I don't expect to use it a lot.
Camera most likely K-S1; I'll decide between that & K-3 when I reach Hong Kong & can handle both. Canadian dealer I have checked does not have stock yet. K-3 sounds excellent, but K-S1 looks like a better match for my budget & skill level and is considerably lighter. If anyone has advice or comments on that choice, I'd love to hear it.
