This was taken on our first trip ever to Maui. We had spectacular weather, and the flowers came out to play.

As a little boy I have always loved trains. I remember the best Christmas gift ever - a train set. As an adult I have taken to photographing trains whenever I can. My collection grows every year. For the past three years I have been collecting train numbers. My goal is to find out how many trains I have seen more than once. After collecting more than 100 train numbers so far, I have come across the same train only once. Quite amazing.
This old train and caboose looks like it is on a trip. Caboose 1/125; f8. Track 1/160; f11; Train 1/125; f7.1

On a wonderful trip to Ireland/Scotland practically every single day had at least one tower or spire in it. This ancient church was so attractive due to its surroundings of green growth.

Astrophotography has become one of my favourite pastimes in the past five years. This shot (among many) was taken in Canmore, Alberta Canada, just outside the gates of Banff National Park. It was a perfectly calm night, and I had the sensation these stars were resting on this beautiful white mountain. The area is a dark sky and the white snow came out in full force as I held it open for 15 seconds. One of my friends who lives in Canmore loved the picture so much she had it printed on canvas (24x36) and now resides above their headboard in their apartment in Canmore.

Saw this bike lying beside a river. The loneliness of the bike really struck me. Was it abandoned or just retired?

I was leaving on a 12 day cruise from Sydney Harbour in March 2023. With nothing in the way, as the ship was leaving port, I couldn't miss this shot. Perfect conditions, and perfect birds.

Walking in Downtown Edmonton, I was struck by the reflecting glass effect of a building presenting clouds and other objects in perfect reflection as it stood out in front of a bold and threatening sky.

I took this picture on an impromptu trip to Spirit Island in Jasper National Park, Jasper Alberta Canada. I was extremely lucky to have a grandfather and his grandson in the foreground, fishing gear and vintage canoe. I was especially appreciative of the energy these two demonstrated as they practiced their fly fishing techniques. The colour photo is powerful, but I found this B&W version helped to set the tone and mood of bygone days fishing with your grandson. I hope you like it.

Emerald Lake B.C., Canada. The sun came out for only thirty minutes over a three day period. Luckily I wasn't taking a nap. Definitely worth the wait.

Taken on the third out of three completely cloudy days where the sun was shining for a grand total of 30 minutes. It was a long wait, but definitely worth it.

It was a perfectly calm night sitting in front of Lake Louise, Alberta. Glancing behind me and into the sky, the Milky Way made its' presence known. A simple 20 second shot and this was the result. Pure luck. Thank you Stars!!! I used some 'light painting' with my head lamp to light up the trees in front of these beautiful stars.

Walking along the North Saskatchewan River near the city of Devon, I found this beautiful set of stairs calling me to sit among the trees. It was so peaceful.
