This picture was taken on the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Australian Air Forces Central Flying School's first ever flight at RAAF Base Point Cook near Melbourne , Victoria. The Flight was made by a Bristol Box kite - a replica one was constructed and you will see taking it off behind the current aircraft used by the Squadron - which is a PC-9A as flown by the RAAF Aerobatics team - The Roulettes .

Bit of a pain in the patoot that you have to buy a data transfer cable and none is supplied . My K-5 came with a cable so why doesn't the K-3 ?

My K-3 arrived today and although I cant wait to play with her and learn her ways i'll have to wait until Tuesday to have a play . Good thing is the batteries from my K-5 2s fit her so I have a spare as well as a pair for my K-5 . Have a 64gb and 32gb cards installed and ready to go . Will mainly be using her for Aircraft and Birds with a bit of motorsport thrown in .
Good times ahead :)

Love my 150 to 500 and its truly amazing for aircraft , airshows , birds and motor sport. Not so good for Portraits though ............................. ;)

Wow - would have loved a 645 but am very happy to have purchased a K-3 ( cant wait for it to arrive ) - great pic and I'm glad you like your 645

Hi Des - I love Big Bertha ( as my wife has called that lens ) - I wouldn't want to go near an airshow or airport without it - I use my 28-200 as my daily walk around lens . I never leave home without a camera.

I dropped mine while chasing a Hawk and the only damage that happened was a crack across the top display - tough as :)

Have had the same problem - I went to an local air field to see a Corsair fly for the first time and my favourite lens wouldn't auto focus , neither would my 100-330 so I went manual focus ( argghhhhhh : tore my hair out but got good shots ) . I've cleaned the contacts with alcohol swabs ( rather dry ) and now no problems . I hope this helps

I just wanted to say a quick Hello - I recently posted from my mobile phone on facebook to the forums and thought it was about time that I joined . I have a few pentax cameras with mt latest being a K-3 ( which I have only just ordered ) . My main camera has until its arrival been a K-5 S2 which I think the world of but having read all the posts about the k-3 I thought I'd lash out .
