I love the color contrast of the chicken and the background and the vibrancy! And beautiful focus! Very cool picture.

Thank you for all the responses!! They are all super helpful! I will definitely be investigating the lens reviews, looking into older lenses, and I look forward to posting some pictures once my camera arrives!! :)

I just very recently bought my first DSLR (though I've been doing photography for awhile). I got the Pentax K-3 and am super excited for it to arrive! Does anyone have any suggestions for affordable ideal lenses for taking photographs of bands and weddings? I already have a smc PENTAX DA 50mm F1.8, and am considering a wide angle. I do plan on working in a lot of low light conditions.
