Ok probably I'm late but my question would be: "With the new D-FA zoom lenses both using a DC AF motor, will SDM (ora a new re-incarnation of it) be used again in future DA* and D-FA* lenses?"

My first worry was indeed about the metal oxiding or even corroding/rusting... good to know.
Ok thanks you all, I'll try with a matte black pen first as suggested... it's not a big deal, just a bit annoying having chipped paint on a fairly new body right there were you always look. [emoji4]

Yeah but you know what... the plastic shell of my K10D doesn't show many signs of use (rubber grips aside) and scratches are a lot less visible... maybe the only donwside of using full metal alloy bodies... :)

Ok so a few days ago I noticed what just appeared to be some kind of dirt on the left side of the rear LCD... I tought it could be a bit of glue residue from the screen protector or something else, so I tried using a cloth to cleaning it up.
Unfortunately I realized it was actually a scratch/discoloration (sp?) on the edge of the screen... see the pictures. :(
I really do not know how it happened... anyway, is there anything I can do? I mean is it just a cosmetic issue or the damage can get worse with oxidation? Does magnesium alloy oxidize?
