Hello everyone,
I recently got a new HD 40mm F2.8 Limited and noticed a little play in the focusing ring when using the lens in manual mode. The play is about .5mm and is only noticeable when moving the focus ring back and forth. Just sent back 40mm XS which was rock solid except that it would not auto-focus. :)
I was wondering if a little play is normal or if I should send the lens back? I've taken some test shots but this is my first dslr, so I'm not quite sure what to look for. Any input would be appreciated.

It would be nice to have a a simple "show/hide image" command that can be set by the poster as well as other members viewing that said image. Basically a content warning system that would display simple text describing images that might be off-putting to some users and allowing users to either proceed and display the image or ignore it.
Potential image topics that would be hidden by default:
Spiders, cockroaches, worms, etc.
Snakes
Super macro shots of bugs?
Just a suggestion. :)

The original has a dreamy quality to it. However I really like what you did in post. Another vote for the colored version!

The second image is definitely better. Maybe try cropping the image to the light reflecting off the water, which looks great by the way.
