Yep that fixed it! I set it to enable using the aperture ring. Even the auto focus works now. Thanks so much!!! :-))))) You made my day!

Hello all! Thanks for your help! I am writing because I have a similar but related problem. A lens I just ordered from KEH that is supposed to work with a Pentax full frame camera is the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, autofocus. When I put this lens on my Pentax K1 Mark ii, it says "F--" error on the display, as if the camera is not communicating with the lens. I am so disappointing. The camera won't take a picture. Do you know why? Thanks!

Hello!
I have been shooting Pentax for years and just upgraded to my first full frame: the K1 mark ii. I realized today that I didn't even stop to think about how my current lenses would work on it. My "Sigma 18-50mm F/2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM" has strong black vignetting around the photos I take with it. So does my 50 - 135 mm (can't find my order to get the specs). I now understand that these lenses are for crop sensors. :-(
I also have these lenses:
Pentax smc DA 50mm f/1.8 Lens (crop sensor lens)
SMC Pentax-M 1:1.4 50mm (full frame sensor lens)
Now I am planning to sell the two zoom lenses. What about my 50mm 1.8, which is for crop sensors? Will the photos I take with that be just as if I'm taking photos with a crop sensor camera?
Thanks for any help and encouragement you can provide.

Hello! I have purchased the Pentax K 70, my 3rd Pentax camera. I have read the manual on turning on the Wi-Fi. I got the camera connected to Wi-Fi and connected to my Android phone. However, I see no options in the menu or on my phone 4 transferring the photos over Wi-Fi from my camera to my phone or over email to someone. The manual doesn't give hardly any information but just very basic info. I even see a share button on the top left corner of my jpeg images but I see no way to actually share the images and no way to activate that button. Can anyone please help me? I really appreciate it. I just want to send some of the images from my camera to my friend.

Hello!
I am sooo excited to be here! I began taking pictures just about 15 months ago! I went on a camping trip with some photographers over the summer. When I asked one of them what dslr to get, he said, "I'm partial to Pentax." So I decided my first dslr would be a Pentax. I ljust upgraded from the K-500 to the K5iis. Love both! I am committed to Pentax and very very happy to be here! :-)))
