Many thanks indeed for the response. Exposure is set as you recommend. Camera mode is on Auto Pict. I have tried other modes but still get the horizontal lines when taking photos. When taking video then the picture is perfect.

Hello,
I wonder if anybody can help. I have an Optio M50 which although 2008 vintage has virtually never been used. It worked great for last couple of months but suddenly the pictures taken are all over bright, not clear and with lots of horizontal white lines. Camera, however, still takes perfect videos. Feel that have pressed the wrong button but anything I do does not restore the still picture mode to normal. Ideas anybody ?
