Love that part of the state, have not been out there in years however. Will have to plan a trip this summer...thanks for the idea!

Here's a couple from a local conservatory / botanical garden after dark. I took my mother there for mother's day this past Friday. I may be posting a few more this week if I have time to process. These are my favorite two. |

Congrats to Tom...that's a clear winner and a spectacular image.
Thanks for the kind words, as well. I love that location for sunsets, but am a little limited by not having a wide angle lens.

Yes sir, a heavy ND filter. 30 seconds on the top and bottom one, and 15 seconds on the middle. I went with a quicker shutter on the middle one because the swirls started to wash out over 15 seconds for some reason.

A few waterfalls from last month with perfect water levels. Have been too busy lately to process and post, but finally getting around to it. |

Since I wasn't able to participate in last week's challenge, I thought I'd combine a cityscape and a sunset.
3 minute exposure as dusk was settling in. I love the tail end of sunsets. |

Great city shots. Congrats to the winners. I really wish I could have entered, but was not able to make it downtown last week. I've got tons of previous shots that do not fall within the time frame, but have been hitting waterfalls hard the last few weeks due to perfect water levels.

Wow, I've got so many cityscape photos. I hope to have time this weekend to get out there and blow everything else I have out of the water. This is a very nice challenge for me.

I just wanted to share my favorite shot of Pittsburgh. We're very fortunate with a lot of hills and bridges and with a little planning, it's possible to get traffic light trails in the foreground of many images. Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated, as I am perfectly able to get return to this location to shoot again. I did unfortunately miss the blue hour by about 20 minutes due to poor planning. |

I've named this one The Fissure, and I did not originally expect it to turn into a reflection as I was just practicing leading lines and expected another throw away shot, however I actually really like this image. |

Some really beautiful macro and avian images this week. I've been going out shooting a lot, but the issue then becomes I don't have enough time to process! Haha. Here's a few from this week and last. |

I know of a few places that might be better, so hopefully we can get a few more nice skies before my work picks back up again.
I wish I would have been able to climb up the arch of the bridge I was shooting from...it would have been more than high enough!
Hmm...I hadn't though of that...maybe some evening after dark I'll return and see what it looks like. Good idea!

I grabbed this sunset last night downtown after a snow storm. I'm just having a hard time deciding if the bridge in the foreground works well or takes away from the city. It's not an attractive bridge by any means, which is why I'm not extremely happy. In my mind, the bridge I was shooting from was higher, so I wouldn't be so much looking "up" at the city as I am here. By the time I got set up and realized my POV was off, I didn't have enough time to switch locations.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Captured this last night. Heavy snow broke up in the afternoon, which is always perfect for beautiful sunsets. 2 minute exposure. |
