I use the 24-70 on my k3 for portrait and for landscape, I really don't miss the 18-23 range. Of course IMHO

Hi to all,
I'm a proud owner of a k-3 and good pentax lens (I will never change them), but I have to travel for work and sometimes I can't take my pentax gear with me, I was thinking to buy a second body, what is your suggest? My budget is around 500€, I was interested in the LX100 or in the em-10 mark ii, but I really don't know this camera.
Can you help?
Thanks

Thanks and now the last question, is the godox 860 much better than the rf60x? My two options now are:
1. Cactus v6ii + rf60x approx 300€
2. Cactus v6ii x2 + godox v860approx 350€
The third option could be
Cactus v6ii + xt1+godox v860 approx 310€ (but I will have two trigger)

Hi to all, I'm moving my first (well maybe second) steps into portrait and studio photo. I have a Yongnuo YN-560 IV with a wireless trigger, but now I'm realizing that I would like to have an HSS flash here there are my option:
1. Metz 58 Af-2 for HHS and in studio controlled remotely by the pop-up flash
2. Cactus system V6II and flash rf60x in this way when I'm in studio I can control also the second flash with my YN trigger
Are there other way? Which is the best solution?
Thanks

Hi to all,
in the last two months I shoot most of the time portrait in studio and open air, and sometimes I realized that I need something longer than my 24-70, considering that by the end of the year I will buy a k-1, which lens do you think it's better? I have the k 135 but for me it's too long and I'm using it for landscape (very good lens). I'm considering:
- K 85mm (very rare)
- M 85mm (300€, maybe not the best price/quality)
- FA 77mm (I don't know if I will notice the 7mm difference from the 24-70)
- Fa* 85mm (same price as FA77)
-DA 60-250 (ok it's a zoom, and I will adapt it for the FF)
-FA 70-200 (maybe the definitive lens? but I think it's too heavy to be used by hand)
Thanks to everybody

Thanks to all, I think she will look for a k-5 at the end of the day it's less expansive than a new k-50/70

Hi to all,
I have to help a friend of mine in buying a new reflex, she's new to photography but she wants to learn, let's say she can spend up to 1.000€ which is the best camera for a beginner? To get start the camera she will use the 18-135 and she can use also some of my lenses.
Thanks for your help

Thanks to all, I think that I will look for a K 135 2.5, it seems to be the best as price and quality..

Hi to all,
I'm looking for a mainly portrait lens that can be used also for landscape.
I own the D FA 24-70, m 50 1.7 and the m 200 f4. So I would like something in the range of 100-135 mm, my budget is around 200€. I looked the smc-a 135 2.8, is a good lens or is better the 135/2.5. Have you other suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'mreally tempted by the tamron but since it would be an investment for years maybe it's better to spend more and take the pentax/tamron 24-70.

Dear all, I need a new lens for my k-3, in the future I will buy a FF, and I was thinking on the 24-70, but it is very expansive. Are there third party lenses with the same image quality and more or less the same focal lenght?
Thanks

Well I think that the choice will be between the 17-70 pentax (used at 325€), the 17-70 sigma (new 450€) or the 18-135 (new).
Maybe the pentax 17-70 is better for IQ but the 18-135 is more versatile. I own also a pentax K 35mm (f 3.5) and a pentax-M 50mm (f1.7).

Hi to everybody, I need to change my kit lens 18-55 with something best, I have a k3, my options are:
1) New 17-70 570€ (640$)
2) New 18-135 400€(450$)
3) New 16-85 680€ (762$)
What do you think is the best choice?
I need to improve my kit lens, I'm planning in future to buy prime lenses (FA 31mm FA 77mm and 100mm macro)

Here you can see a photo of the city of Turin taken with a Pentax k-x without the internal IR-CUT filter and with a 920nm filter in front of the lens. |
