used software to extract the photos and then reformatted the card. NEVER gna forget to dismount again! Take the SC card out immediately after transfer and reformat on the camera.

Hello everyone,
I have recently purchased a Pentax k-50 with a DA 18-135mm WR lens and am really enjoying it. It's my first DSLR and I'm still getting used to it but definitely feel it was worth it.
I'm having some trouble with my SD card. It was working fine for the first few days. The day before yesterday I popped it into the camera and it warned me "SD card not formatted". I was at an event so I formatted it on the camera and continued snapping away.
Today, I tried to transfer the photos to my Mac (which I think might be the problem) as others have mentioned problems on here. What I want to know is can I retrieve these photos without formatting the card and if so, how? any particular software i can use? my sd card is sandisk ultra sdxc 64 gb uHC-1 class 10 memory card.
I am not able to scroll through the photos on the camera.
Also, how can i prevent this from happening in the future?
thanks,

Thanks, everyone. Those are some excellent deals but I'm in the UK so I'll end up paying an arm and a leg in customs fees. But I'm now sure that this is the kit that I want.

Hi everyone,
I'm going to be working in the Amazon rainforest mid-next year for 5 weeks and am looking to purchase a DSLR. I'm aware that humidity is a major challenge, as well as the low levels of light and photographing wildlife up in the canopy.
As i'm relatively new to "good" photography and am a student, I will sadly be only be able to spend 400/450 pounds.
Atm, I'm considering a Pentax K-50 as it's weather-sealed and has the capacity for high ISO images. I'm also looking to get some weather sealed lenses (maybe, the DAL18-55wr and DAL50-200wr) though I am open to suggestions as I certainly have no expertise in this area.
Do you think this is a good choice for the conditions in the amazon rainforest? Also I will be backpacking afterwards, so size would also be a consideration I need to take into account.
If not, what should I consider with this budget?
Thanks,
Teacoffeejunkie
P.s If anyone any is selling one, please message me.
