I have a Pentax K1000 that was my father's, and then mine. About 8 years ago the light meter broke (not the batteries, or a dirt issue) - it's stuck up at the + side whether there are batteries in it or not. I took it to a local camera shot yesterday and they said I should just buy a new body for $85 rather than repair the light meter because the parts were hard to find. I just wondered if that was good advice, or if I should look for another repair store, or go back and insist?
Thanks for any help!
