This picture was taken just a couple of days ago near to my home. After sun went down, the sky began to shine in pink and red colours, as the clouds were illuminated from below. I tried to create a symmetry in the picture with the trees and red skies mirrored by the little river. I was struggling quite a bit between portrait and landscape variations, but in the end decided for the portrait orientation.

I saw this super cool music video / short film by Carpenter Brut / Seth Ickerman called Turbo Killer and wanted to do something with that feeling. Maybe not as cool but still something, hope you like it :)

I like the concept and composition of this image, but I'm not a fan of how much blurring is done in post-processing. In my opinion, it makes your model look plastic and her jacket and the swirling snow look like they are computer generated. Has nothing to do with your skill or creativity, just my preferences.

Skye was the last stop on our tour of Scotland. We were there 30 years ago, when the only way to get there was by ferry. The island seemed very remote. Now, with a bridge, it appeared to us that there were about 10 times the number of tourists. Still as beautiful as ever, but this time with full parking lots and triple the hotel rates.
The Sligachan Bridge. We have a watercolor of this bridge that we bought while living in Scotland in the 1980’s but we never knew where the bridge was. When we drove by, we recognized it immediately.

A home on the coast just outside of Stein. The yellow flag seemed incredibly out of place - it’s a smiley face flag.
