Sticky: Pentax K-3, K-3 II and K-3 III User Manual Downloads

For reference, the operating manuals for the Pentax K-3 and K-3 II are available for download on RICOH's site:

Pentax K-3 III Camera Manual (PDF)

Pentax K-3 III Wireless Communication Guide (PDF)

Pentax K-3 II Camera Manual (PDF)

Pentax K-3 Camera Manual (PDF)

It should be noted that diffraction correction was added to the K-3 as from firmware update 1.10, and AA filter simulation bracketing was added as from update 1.02. These features (which come factory installed with the K-3 II) are described here:

Pentax K-3 Diffraction Correction (PDF)

AA filter simulation bracketing (PDF)

While we're at it: The latest firmware is found on this page:

Mods always have the wet noodles, Norm. Comes in the Mod Kit (standard issue).

Gentlemen, settle down, stay on topic and be civil about it, or it's Noodle City for all of you.

Those of us who live North of the 49th (and 60th) parallels see many problems with EV for power. As the temperature drops below 32º F/ 0ºC and stays there, we have to add defrosters to the power draw along with heaters. Battery efficiency drops rapidly below freezing. I'll keep my old Tundra, thanks very much. I "recharge" it in minutes at the petrol pump and can do several hundred Km on each tank fill. I'm still not certain that spending thousands of dollars to buy an EV with the environmental impact off battery production is a net gain to the ecology.

Diesel cars got a bad rap from the US enviromental crowd years ago, not to mention the strict pollution controls required. Just did not make it practical for US car companies to push the sales in the US.

Hola.

Saw this article pop up in my news feed this morning - Japan sends a modified Pentax 300mm F4 lens into space aboard its Kitsune 6 microsatellite: Digital Photography Review

As a DA*300 owner and certified data nerd, I find this pretty cool!

I was responding to your response to a post. Perhaps in your country, courts are allowed to discuss matters "not in evidence" but not in the U.S.
His comments in this thread talk about his experience, and should be what this thread talks about.

added: this thread began as a discussion of experience - not a discussion of reviews or theory.
To suddenly pull in reviews is not relevant.

I may have missed something here but does it have on-board GPS? That's something I use in the field with the K3 II, while mounting a ring flash. It's pretty important to me anyway.

I will certainly drop in! My Dad passed the love of photography (and Pentax) on to me. ❤️ I am still nowhere near being used to life without him, but this is all very heartwarming.

What I've found is that while my content is appreciated, but my sometimes rude and troll like behavior isn't.
Think of a forum as a shopping mall. Visitors are welcome, but if you stand in the middle of an aisle and start cursing loudly at people, you will probably be banished.

I traveled to Ohio because my sister lives in Wilmington, just a short drive from there. My buddies who are also working on this project drove to Dayton so we could meet up. It was the first time in about 45 years that we'd been together. I'll keep everyone updated as we move forward. My co-author (Dan Brookes) forwarded and e-mail he'd received from our agent that indicates he already has a publisher (Stackpole Books) has expressed and interest in publishing our work.
Just so ya'll know ..... this project would NEVER have gotten off the ground (as far as I'm involved) had it not been for the overwhelming response to this forum .......... THANKS GUYS!
