Agreed!
Small in size, big in character, uniquely designed and delicately engineered. That's the Pentax I absolutely love.

Sometimes, I do feel a little bit guilty; that I should spend even more effort to give back encouragement and attention that I myself receive on Flickr. And are very grateful for.
Some stats in this thread was an instant cure to that feeling.

Yes!
These look exactly like the grease stains on the rear side of the front optical block, of a Tamron CT-105 that I have disassembled for cleaning at this very now.
The rear of the front block is more exposed to grease/dirt/vapours from the mechanical parts of the lens.

The general activity and genuine personal interaction on Flickr seem to have been going down for a quite a while now.
But the amount of bot-users, the notorious friend- and star collectors, surly are still active. Proportionally their plague seem to have expanded.
I left 500px after it took them 7+ months to reveal that all 14,8 million accounts had been hacked, and all personal data stolen, back in 2018.
There's something seriously fishy about that site.

Have tried it, and that solution did unfortunately not work out optimally for my eyes.
Best solution left would be a threaded round screw in + diopter (without magnification) combined with a rubber eye cup. For example: ??????????????????????????????????PENTAX K-1? - ???? Watch
But Sony (+3 EVF diopter adjustment) would not be a bad option. Panasonic offer +4.
Pentax K3 II had +1,5, but K3 III only +1. And K1 has +1,2. So the KP, with +2, is the last Pentax OVF that I can use (without modification).

I only have a Pentax KP.
The IQ is all I need. And only having one body to use, learn, and worry about is just wonderful. Simplicity (read: not too much gear) has proven to be a key factor to keep my photography fun.
A "pocketable" Sony RX100 III do sit next to the KP. The regular carry along for those once in a blue moon opportunities.
The Pentax OVF +2 diopter adjustment is starting to run short, so eventually i might jump to Sony whom offer +3. If so - my Pentax glass comes along for the journey.

Looks like a sloppy cleaning job.
Somebody might have tried to clean the lens of "something" (for example the remaining stain), and left a mess behind. Looks like cotton fibers or lint.
If you suspect any fungus growth, keep it far away from your healthy equipment.

Well - it is something wrong with it.
I've already confirmed the the back focus issue in Live View. Over and over again.
Magnified before exposure, and after.
It's not lighting. It's not distance. It's the FA43 - and it's consistent.
The other 3 lenses tested are performing perfect.
I just talk to the reapir center on Monday.

That is a whole lot for only 25 USD.
I could spend a good hour watching the storefront alone. Well inside, they probably would have to carry me out at closing time. Envious of the Tokyo Pentaxians that have this treat to visit.

As I suspected there is indeed a need/wish for touch up paint. See Pentax!
Pentax original black and silver, would be a great addition to the accessory landscape.
In any "form" (pen, stick, jar), it's the paint that matters most, and the best techniques to apply will be refined by us users.
Also, there is nothing to loose in this for Pentax. I will only add to sales. Since no one, unless they are filthy rich, will ever consider buying new gear instead of living with paint loss or doing a paint touch up.
I might be picky. But especially small mistakes that sometimes result in paint imperfections, can be severely irritating. Constant reminders. A paint touch up heals the mind too. It's a way to enjoy the gear even more after all.

Both Lydith I've had is/was better than the 3 different Pentacon's. So hopefully your in for a treat. A good Lydith copy is one or two steps above. I've red several others have the same experience.
I glanced at the Mir many times, but the long MFD keeps me from hitting the buy button. Everything else seems great.

You got lucky! That's a very good copy.
I've had 3 different variants of the Pentacon 30/3.5 (all M42). And none of them performed as well as yours.
With that said, get the real thing too; the Lydith. It'¨s an amazing little lens. Or maybe you got it already?
