Highly disappointed that 1080p video is still at 25fps.

I am referring to video card driver updates, not Spyder3Elite updates.

Not worried about the profile changing, but more that the profile that is currently being used will still be used.

Does anybody know Spyder3Elite 3.1.4 will require a re-calibration when video drivers are updated?

When I switched video cards, it did require a recalibration, but what about just the drivers? I'm having some minor unrelated issues that I would like try and solve with new drivers, but I don't currently have access to the Spyder3 hardware.

Just because I don't post as often as others doesn't mean that I'm new.

I came into the thread expecting to see the information relating to the topic. When I got here, I see a link and the only original comment I saw was that there was nothing said about Pentax cameras. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Don't know why you need to bring specific camera models into this when the article is written in terms of general equipment pointers. Everything that is written about in that article is still applicable to sealed cameras.

It is an excellent article at pointing out things that will affect taking photos in "cold, snowy environments," which you seem to gloss over when you put in that quip about Pentax.

Pentax owns the patents for both lenses.
US 11/672224 is the 50-135.

These are all from my K200D + DA* 16-50mm. Not too much use of f2.8, but some are and there is full exif.

Most of the shots in the 2nd and 3rd album are with a CPL.

It is normal for it to stick a little. 28mm is where the 2nd barrel comes out. Also, the resistance varies depending on if you have the lens pointed up or down.

Why did you choose the k200 over the competition (e.g., Canon XSI)??

Chose the K200D because I could put the relatively (in comparison to other first party lenses in the same class) inexpensive DA* 16-50/2.8 on it and have a weather sealed body. The first time I used it in the field was on the Mist Trail where everything was getting soaked and I didn't worry one bit about pulling the camera out.

I have some older feedback here, and more recent ebay feedback here. 100% positive.

I should clarify that the second set of pictures are of the OOF blur from actual images taken with the lens and not of the iris itself.

These were taken at 50mm, focus set at .3m (closest) and the light is about 35m away. The black stuff is from the dirty window I was shooting through. All images normalized to the f/2.8 image.

f/2.8:

f/4.0:

f/5.6:

f/8.0:

f/22:

What do you guys think? I'm seeing that the "circle" is smoother/rounder at the top at f/4 (and slightly at 5.6 and 8). Acceptable or is this lens capable of being better?

9018278 from Beach Camera (6/13) seems good so far, apart from a little stickiness in the zoom action at 28mm going from 16->50.
