The best course you can get came with your camera at no extra charge.
It is called an "Owner's Manual".
Put it in a Zip Lock bag and keep it in your camera bag. Need a lesson on a specific photography subject and your camera?
Unzip the Zip Lock.

P.S. Mine goes with me wherever I go. I have been taking pictures for over 60 years.

Forget about bottled water.
You never know what tap or stream it came from.
Get some distilled water at your pharmacist's and very gently wipe with dampened, not soddened, Q-Tip.

Aura,
I think you may outgrow the Manfrotto IV very quickly. May I suggest a sling type bag.
I have a Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW. I have used it for about 5 years now. It will never wear out.
It carries a Pentax K-5 with or without any of the lenses I usually use mounted on it if I wish;
A Quantaray 70>300mm Macro zoom with lens hood @ 5-1/2" long. ( My favourite lens ).
A Tamron 28>80mm with lens hood @ 4"" long.
A Pentax 12>24mm with its massive lens hood @ 4" long and its hood is 4" wide. It also has Two fair sized exterior pockets and a small inside pocket. There is a hidden storm cover which I have never used.
One of its really useful features is the ability to swing the bag around to access the contents and even change lenses without removing the bag from your shoulder and thus exposing it to theft.
As a diabetic I also carry a glucometer and an insulin pen. All this with room to spare.
It is not overly large. Larger models are made by Lowepro. I think there may be one smaller model, a 150 AW. The 200 AW weighs 2.1 pounds.
Do not buy from the internet unless you have seen and tried your choice in real life. Dealing with a reliable dealer is always your safest path.

First step is blow off the dust and possible grit with a blower or your breath.
Second step is brush gently with a soft, clean brush that has not been touched by your fingers. Keep that brush for only dusting lens elements.
Third step is blow with your breath to fog the lens.
Fourth is very gently wipe the lens in a circular motion with an old cotton T shirt or diaper or microfiber cloth.
Fifth step check lens for lint and blow it off.
Sixth step is to go out and take some great pictures.
And in the future keep your ------ fingers off the glass.

Excellent.
By merely rotating the photo it has been turned into a striking abstract.

I thought this competition was for abstract photos but going through all the pictures I see very few abstracts.
I must not understand something.
Please clarify for me.
Thank you,

Welcome.
"First question - is T mount and m42 mount the same? " To simplify.
No they are not the same. T mount is a kind of universal mount to adapt a camera to, for example, a telescope or some other accessories.
M 42 is the old Pentax threaded mount. It was used for many years on almost all cameras right up until the introduction of the present K bayonet mount which is used on all present day Pentax K cameras. It has electrical contacts for the automatic features of today's Pentax digital cameras.
Adapters are available to use T mounts and M 42 mounts on K mount cameras but the automatic features will be disabled.
Beware. Some adapters will completely disable a K camera. Pentax adapters are always safe but there are other good makes available.

I have tried auto zoom.
I do not like it.
It does not give the fine control that a manual zoom offers.

It is difficult to tell from a photograph as it could be reflecting, in this case for example, a slightly cloudy night sky.
Hold the lens up to your eye and look through it. Then you will know for sure.
You might try a soft cloth dampened - not soaked - with a little alcohol. If it is on the outside it might come off but be gentle. No vigorous scrubbing.

jinx33,
Toronto calling.
I restore and collect antique/old cameras ranging from about 1890 to present and 8" x10" to 8mm.
I have about 250.
Only four Pentax's though.
My present camera which is all I could ask for is the Pentax K-5.
I have had it for 3 years now and have taken thousands of pictures without any problems. A great little machine.
