Hi Aron,
It doesnt look dirty or blocked as far as i can check with our opening by any means. I might sound dumb but i tried blowing air in it but nothing happened.

I guess ill go for the 17-50 tamron. It can cover more range i would say.

Hey there!!!
I am new to the forum and my apologies if i am in violation of any forum rules with this post, however i didnt come across any posts on the issue i am facing.
My k-50 is not recording audio properly while recording video. When i play the videos back there is hardly any audio recording of the person i am shooting. The person i was shooting was at a distance of 4-5 feet from the camera. The only time the camera records audio thats audible on play back is when i speak holding the camera literally close to my mouth. I have tried changing the audio levels and the "all custom settings reset" but it doesnt seem to make any difference. I have shoot a short clip at an auto show about 3 weeks ago and that clip is ok with sounds recorded.
For anyone wondering, i havent changed anything on my camera during this time, havent tried any new external equipment or even taken it too any kind of harsh environment. Its literally been sitting in its bag.
Pentax doesnt offer customer support in my country and i doubt that the local repair shops would ruin the weather sealing/resistance.

Hey there,
I am from Lahore Pakistan and writing this post to participate in the Best of 2014 Photo contest i just came to know about, held by this forum. I read in the guidelines to specify details if EXIF data is not included. My submission has minor adjustment done to it and doesn't show EXIF data on the attached file. PFB, image details if needed.
I have taken this picture with my Pentax k500 and 55-300 mm Pentax lens.
Aperture : 6.3
Shutter speed : 1/640
ISO : 100
Exposure bias : 0
focal length : 300
35mm focal length : 450
