I've had mine for at 2 months. The video seems better than my other Optio. I didn't really buy it for that feature, but one thing I have noticed several times that if you have it video mode and forget to turn it off, the auto shut down doesn't work and it kills the battery. This has happened several times, but I do have an email to Pentax about it. We'll see what happens.

What do you think of the WG-1? I have no need for the GPS, so I won't be getting that one.

I'm really excited about the Optio WG-1, but was wondering if anyone has one, or tired it. Does it really live up to what it says it is?

Thank you all!! It works just fine. I got a little dramatic because of the vacation. Glad it's solved. Cheers.

It's werid, it used to say +jpeg. And I've gone through the owners guide and the whole menu and can't find a darn thing.

I'm currently in the Cayman Islands and forgot something so simple about my K20. I'm wanting to take JPEGS and DNG at the same time. But when I go to the record function in the menu, my options are JPEG, RAW and RAW + RAW. It used to say RAW + JPEG. What happened and how to I fix it without restorting to defualt. I don't want to reset all my custom stuff.
I know I'll have an answer soon. Can't wait to catch some of the beauty of this place.

Never had a misfire. Unless the strobes were still charging.

I use the inexpensive Flashpoint wirless from Adorama. I can fire all of my 4 White Lightnings with ease. Highly suggest it.

I used it in M mode with no problems.
But that was with a K20, not K5.

I was talking about the tethering program, it doesn't rotate. I only played with it for 5 mins, but was impressed. I agree, I think Pentax should hook up with this guy.

It does work!!! I just downloaded it. I know he said there were some kinks to be worked out. One thing I noticed is that if you take a potrait photo, the program doesn't rotate it. Thats kinda a big deal to me since I take a lot of protraits in the studio. But I'm sure it's an easy fix for this guy.
Awesome!!

I think it would be an awesome setup for you doing your love of racing. My only concern would be the lighting conditions. I'm assuming the races are at night, so I would be concerned that the lens you are looking at is not fast enough for those conditions.

I've NEVER had the rechargables die on me. I always try to keep them topped off so they're ready to go. The only pro to using the AAs is that in a bind, which is rare, you can buy those anywhere.

Adam,
I think it would be awesome if you could provide the K5 pro review as a printable PDF. Maybe just and a buttom at the top of the page and bam! I can print it out and read it outside on the porch and make notes on it as I read it.
I find it hard on the eyes to read long documents on the monitor. Maybe some share my pain.
Just an idea!

Thanks Arjay!! The price of the unit is unreal now. I'm getting it for $299 US. I'm excited about the 8 colors and roll option as making some really large prints would be fun and educational.
The Epson website said that only certain papers works with certain printers, which is odd to me. But from the picture on ebay, I saw the model number and it is listed on the site as good for the 1900. I would think that any Epson printer would work with any Epson paper.

My new R1900 is set to arrive next week and I have a question about paper. I found a great deal on eBay for a 13" roll of premium glossy. On Epson's site, they list only certain papers to work with certain printers, which is odd IMHO. Does anyone know if any Epson paper will work with any printer so long as it fits and you use the right profile.
The seller hasn't gotten back to me on the model number so that I can look it up.
