Just an update in this thread. I shipped back my lens (DA 18-135) to precision camera USA, and they fixed it for free. I still have the electronic leveling functionality damaged in my K5 - IIs.
Its really nice to see pentax users are growing in Bangladesh. Here are some of my photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/andalib13 ---------- Post added 05-29-16 at 10:55 AM ----------
Thanks, they really are great cameras!!! :)

The most important thing about photography is your concept, not your gears or how you tweak them. You need to have an eye that can quickly spot a subject, and use your creativity to take a photo in such a way, that others wont think of. Sometimes, you need to do staging by rearranging subjects, changing angles, changing lighting, communicating with people and asking them to pose the way you imagined your concept. And you will be getting outstanding and unique photos in no time.

Finally, a sensible answer by someone. Thanks for your opinion. Yes, I feel the same. Left handed version would be more appreciated than the silver or prestige edition. ---------- Post added 04-03-15 at 10:36 AM ----------
I guess, a 25% increase than the right handed version would be ok for us. Even if Pentax releases a left handed version, I don't think they would target to make much profit out of it. The main idea is, this would surely make headline, and would get people's attention. Since, other manufacturers haven't attempted it yet.

I thought this would give pentax a competitive advantage in the market. But I guess you are right. I came to know in this thread that even the lefties prefer right handed cameras. I guess, it wouldnt be a good idea after all... :D

Pentax is very good at packing their DSLRs with things that others don't have in general. Such as Weather Sealed body and lenses, Body based SR, etc... (Though others are catching up). Can't they make a difference in the market again? I mean, there are lots of left handed photographers, who have to adopt with the right handed versions.
I already have K5 IIs, and lots of lenses for cropped sensor. I don't plan to move into the full frame arena yet. But, if I get a left handed version of the full frame, Ill definitely go for it...

Thanks for your suggestion, I sent them an email. But they didn't reply. I'll try to call them. Lets see... ---------- Post added 01-31-15 at 06:44 PM ----------
Its good to know that you have interest in Bangladesh. I have 2 albums in my flickr that contains photo from Bangladesh: Nijhum Dwip Trip (Photos taken by Fujifilm SL1000) Bandarban Trip (Photos taken by Pentax K5 IIs) ---------- Post added 01-31-15 at 06:48 PM ----------
Thanks! I made a very shaky start. Lens AF not working, and camera body's electronic level not working in just 4 months! But still hanging in there...

Mount Bromo is a live volcano and prime tourist spot in Java, Indonesia. You can see many beautiful landscape photos of it online. But, I did something different... There is a local belief, that if you make a wish, and throw the flowers inside the volcano, your wish will be granted. So, I did that. Made a wish, and threw the flower bouquet inside the volcano... "Wish upon a volcano"

Hi everyone,
I chose Pentax over Nikon/ Canon because of few things:
- Weather Resistance gears,
- Body based shake reductions,
- Very good image quality at low price,
- I like to stand out from the crowd.
However, started my Journey on September 2014. Took awesome photos in Indonesia, and in USA. But after that found that my DA 18-135 auto focus is not working. Also, in my K5 IIs, the electronic leveling is not working. However, I continued my journey after buying a DAL 50-200.
I bought the DA 18-135 lens from Amazon.com USA (through DavisMaxx). Its been only 4 months. Any idea how can I get it fixed? or avail warranty? I really loved the photos it produced till it worked. I am living in Bangladesh now. But I can easily ship it to USA.
